Location was close to where we needed to be so that was great. The property was excellent with modern fitout to a period building in a rural setting. The room was warm on a cold day and very quiet and the beds were comfortable. The host was excellent and provided us with local information.
Situated in the county town of Buckinghamshire, is the Olympic Lodge Hotel, located within the grounds of Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the birth place of the Paralympic Games.

Staff were very friendly. I booked late and arrived late, the porter went out of his way to help me and park in secure area, directed me to restaurants locally that were still open.

Very near to where I was working. Breakfast was great and the shortbread biscuits provided in my room were delicious. I was very well looked after.

Handy location for us (Addington Equestrian Centre)
Continental breakfast was great for us as we left early and took some with us. Toaster, microwave and kettle very handy. Great room everything we needed for one night.
Waddesdon Manor is just extraordinary! French chateau style and packed with mainly pre-revolution French furniture. The gardens are lovely and we were lucky enough to go at daffodil time - highly recommended!

Waddesdon is a small village, about 5 miles mid way between Aylesbury and Bicester. Very handy for National Trust Waddesdon Manor, which is a lovely place to visit and also has a decent children’s woodland playground.
There are a couple of pubs, which were recommended by the B&B.

The sheer grandeur and splendour of the house and its contents, the immaculate gardens and the knowledge of the room guides. The garden tour was especially valuable in setting the context of the house, which we toured afterwards, as Ferdinand's setting for his art and other collections and for his entertaining.

Waddesdon manor really know how to do Christmas.
Waddesdon manor really know how to do Christmas. We loved the lights , decorations and Christmas market. I'm looking forward to going again to see the rest of the house. It was just like stepping into a French chateau. If you're for the walk to and from the car park is great but if not the bus is a good choice.

There is nothing to Waddesdon apart from The Manor which has to be seen to be believed - mind blowing - it cannot be missed! So many treasures in room after room with a beautiful garden etc. The Five Arrows Hotel is perfect for staying very very near Waddesdon Manor - literally at the end of the entrance to it,

From checking in to checking out we were dealt with in an upbeat, friendly and efficient manner. Good and wine were excellent as was service. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning because the buildings are listed.
The location was lovely. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was of a good quality. The room (2) was small but delightful. The only negative comment was the pillows were flat and hard. The room was great. Nicely decorated, Dyson hairdryer was a lovely touch. The White Company toiletries were also a luxurious touch. Would definitely recommend this hotel. We will be back but I’ll bring my own pillow 😂
Food was excellent! It's totally English cuisine and perfect for a local or someone from out of the country hoping to have a local experience.
The facility is quaint and just the experience we wanted. We were not looking for a sterile hotel environment. We wanted a local country experience. Hundred of Ashendon totally delivered on that.
Parking was very convenient.
We will definitely stay there again.
We stayed one night. The room - in an annexe, through the garden - was very well appointed, and quiet. (There is a fairly busy road at the other side of the hotel, but no traffic noise where we were). We had to dine elsewhere as the restaurant was fully booked some time in advance. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is by the gate to Waddesdon Manor, so very convenient for visiting there.
beautiful character hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. Food was superb. we had a garden room with plenty of space and was great with a baby as we could put her to bed and then enjoy a drink in the lovely garden right outside the door so we could feel comfortable that she was safe and we could enjoy the evening at the same time.
The hotel is very nice and cozy with great food
The bedrooms are very small and compact, and can be quite noisy due to old style windows. There’s no aircon so opening a window is the only option to stay cool!
I won’t rush back!
The staff were very accommodating and responsive to my needs. The hotel is small with an intimate feel about it and the staff were all friendly and approachable. The bar food was more than adequate and the beer excellent.
Lovely fruit salad every morning, very friendly and accomodating. I could leave my bag there in th morning so I did not have to take it up to the manor. Very convienient location for waddesdon Manor.
The room was a great size with a large king size bed. Also a large bathroom and dressing room. Being around the back of hotel it was quiet even though the hotel was on a main road.
Stayed here for visit to waddesdon manor ideal location staff were friendly and helpful accommodation was clean and good quality
Food also excellent breakfast and evening
