Duke Of Cornwall Hotel, hotel in Wembury

In a grand 19th-century Victorian building, Duke of Cornwall Hotel features an award winning restaurant with Two AA Rosettes and luxury bedrooms with free internet.

The hotel itself is beautiful and full of character. I had room 208 which isn't even the most luxurious room but I certainly felt like a princess. The whole place feels locked in time in a good way, like being in one of those YA historical novels. I was so well fed on this trip I could barely manage breakfast on my last trip.

The Drake Hotel Plymouth, hotel in Wembury

A 2-minute walk from Plymouth Hoe Promenade, the family-run Drake offers guest accommodation 5 minutes' drive from the ferry terminal.

Breakfast was really good. Staff very friendly. To be honest we only came over from Cornwall and booked it, as the location was perfect for us to walk to after we got married at Pier One on the Hoe. We would stay there again if we needed something for a similar occasion. It also has parking which is a bonus in that location. Good value for money too. x
