There is nothing to see in Whitburn. It is rundown.

There is nothing to see in Whitburn. It is rundown. Lots of fish and chip shops! There are no decent restaurants close by. The Best Western Hillcroft is supposed to have a good restaurant I found the food awful there. The bar is nice and the staff are friendly. There is nothing to do in Whitburn.

Staff were so helpful Especially Zoe on reception went over and above to help. The lady who served breakfast sorry I didn't get her name was very helpful and friendly. We had a large family meal booked on the Thursday night which everyone enjoyed. The food came out roasting well done to all kitchen staff and waiting staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Stopped for an overnight stay on the way up to the highlands. Very nice hotel, lovely staff and great food. Very convenient for the motorways to the north/ north east. We went to see the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel which are only a short drive away. Superb Scottish breakfast set us up for a busy day.
