Was out with my band. We needed beds and a place to get cleaned up. Everything we wanted was there.

Really excellent stay in this hotel, would recommend if you are in this area of the country. Couldn’t do enough for us, excellent on site facilities.
On the Shropshire and Welsh border hills, this peaceful country house sits in delightful English countryside, and has held 2 AA Rosettes for food quality for over 10 years.

Booked and paid in advance and turned up to find out the hotel was full with no room available for us to stay in.

Extremely helpful and friendly hosts. Breakfast was delicious and we appreciated everything that was in the room - homemade brownies, a wide selection of teas/coffees and toiletries. The packed lunch was delicious and great value. We were walking the Offa's Dyke path so the pickup and dropoff was very handy. Really big room with a very comfortable bed. Would be happy to stay again.
Staff generally polite but not smart
Good English breakfast but other choices limited
Website flattered the property - badly needs a refurb
Very busy junction site with lorries constantly approaching the main thoroughfare from 5am
Rooms are poor with appalling bathroom facilities and conditions
Would not recommend this inn to anyone

We only had a very short visit 5.30pm Sat - 7.15am Sun, so didn't visit the area surrounding the inn. Location was ideal for us to visit an antiques fair early morning. Breakfast was provided at 6.45am even though the restaurant didn't open until 9am. We had a meal at the bar Sat evening, which was good. Staff were very friendly. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water and the room was warm.

Nice bathroom, breakfast brilliant as was the evening meal.
Nice bathroom, breakfast brilliant as was the evening meal. Very friendly staff.
Our room on the road / junction was very noisy.
The mattress had broken springs, but we reported it and we expect it will be replaced.
We would stay again but in a different room. We had the smallest twin room as that was all that was left available when we booked.
