Really spacious room, so clean and warm - very cosy. Bathroom facilities were incredible. Perfect stay, had the best sleep! Staff very friendly and messaged directly which is always a plus for me! Sound proof room, couldn’t hear any other people or road traffic.

Woolaston is a small village set in magnificent surroundings. We stayed at Edge Barn, a mile or two across the fields from Woolaston. Had an excellent meal in the local pub, the Rising Sun. Apart from access from teh A48, all the roads leading to Woolaston are narrow contry roads with hedgerows on either side passing through forest or farmland. Loevely walking country with plenty of public foot paths.
You need a car to make the most of your visit. We drove to Tintern Abbey and to the forest of Dean, both of which are well worth seeing.

Very rural location, which is what we had in mind for a quiet restful week.
Lots of beautiful scenery and places to explore in the area.
Even the weather didn’t put us off!
The Stables is a cosy nook on a working farm with everything you need for a comfy stay, and the bonus of being able to see the horses so closely!
Two good friendly pubs within walking distance, but don’t forget a torch you’ll need it for walking back down the tiny lanes!
