The Black Dog Inn, hotel in Yellowham Wood

Set in a 19th-century pub just a 10-minute drive from Dorchester town centre, The Black Dog Inn has an outdoor children’s playground.

Large spacious room, great selection of breakfast!! Wouldn’t fault it one bit except it was really warm in the room and we couldn’t control the radiators. But all in all lovely service and a great little stay! Would highly recommend.

The Junction Hotel, hotel in Yellowham Wood

A 3-minute walk from Dorchester West Train Station, The Junction is a Marston’s Inn offering bed and breakfast in this historic Dorset town.

Arrrived to very pleasant staff and checked in, We asked for ideas for eating out and they were very helpfull. Unfortunately the lock on our room got stuck but staff were quick to sort it out for us while we went for a meal. They had to break the lock so called us at the restuarant to say they were moving our things to a new room. They moved us into 2 doubles which was great as we had booked a twin. We also had a table waiting for us next morning for breakfast which we didnt know was included, fab breakfast. Great stay Excellant staff. 10 stars

We had bed and breakfast and the breakfast was exceptional. The room was very nice and it felt really welcoming. Having fresh milk delivered to your door each morning was a lovely touch. The location is great, it is only 5 minutes by car from Dorchester but you are in beautiful countryside. It was very quiet and the owners were great hosts. We will be returning in the summer for sure.

    What a welcoming experience.

What a welcoming experience. Ellie subtly tweaks her offering to meet with your needs, without you even noticing. I have travelled widely and this is the best offering I have stayed in, in many years. Highly appointed and scrupulously clean. Covid aware without being OTT.

EXCELLENT - I have read other peoples reviews, and they are certainly wrong. Everything perfect, and nothing too much trouble, should you have a problem JUST MENTION IT - it will be sorted. The setting of Yellowham Farm is second to none. Wonderful, peaceful, tranquil, just add any other words you may think of.
