All the staff we came into contact with seemed very polite and service-minded.
Food nicely presented and everything was kept very clean and tidy.
Nice pool area. Chill atmosphere while we were there.

Everything was great. Particularly the stuff, who with their commitment and helpfulness made the stay very pleasant and trouble-free. Very nice and spacious rooms, very well equipped. Our room had a view to the sea and it was very nice to hear the sound of waves in the morning right under our own windows.
From the hotel yard you go straight down onto the beach with a few stairs. The sandy beach is long, very clean and with lots of sea shells.
The bar is well equipped, breakfasts plentiful with a large selection of local delicacies. The restaurant serves such delicious meals that you do not feel like looking for anything else somewhere in the town.

Agia Marina’s Main Street is filled with coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, souvenir shops….Its 15-20 mins walk to neighbouring Platanias. The beach in Agia Marina is nice but but there are so many others to explore. Loutraki beach is picturesque and Falasarna waters has beautiful shades of blue. The water is a little cooler but so inviting. Visit the Old Port. There are a variety of things to do. Take a stroll through the alley way streets or dance the night away.

I thought Agia Marina was really nice, quiet a busy town, wall to wall restaurants and busy main road. If you are going to The Seagull Hotel by car, it can be very difficult to find (there are very few sign posts) you should look for the a garage SILK OIL red sign post along the main road, that's where you turn off , the Seagull is behind the garage.

A lovely traditional style beach resort.
A lovely traditional style beach resort. A mish mash of shops, restaurants and bars with miles of clean beach. Loved it and the welcome and attention for locals and business owners was second to none.

The host was very kind and friendly.
The hotel is well located right next to the Agia Marina Beach, gas station, restaurants and supermarkets, 15 min away from Chania old town and a 1.30h trip from Elafonisi and Balos.
Inside the hotel you have a lovely rooftop and a small pool if you wish to relax. Our room was exactly as depicted in the photos. Very clean and decorated with in amazing greek fashion.
We spent a really good time in Crete and are looking forward to return one day and hopefully we will choose the Seagull again :)
An incredible vacation for our family (2 adults, 2 children - 6 and 8 years old)! Everyone on the hotel staff was so warm and welcoming, and made a point to learn our kids' names. The highlight was certainly the room - we booked a suite with a private plunge pool and a sea view, and it far surpassed our expectations...so much so that our kids never wanted to leave the room. The morning breakfast at the hotel is unmatched! The beach was so nice (even in the shoulder season - April), and just steps away from the hotel.
This is a perfect place for a summer holiday! The hotel has a great location. It is next to the beach and also it is only 10km to the Chania. There is a good public transport from Chania to the hotel and the bus stop is just infront the hotel.
The rooms are very clean and comfort. There is a big outdoor swimming pool.
The owners and the staff are amazing. They are very hospitable. The food is amazing.
I would definitely recommend the hotel for a perfect holiday and would be happy to book it again.
The apartment itself was fantastic, super big and very clean, it had everything you need. I loved the layout of the room and with how the bed is positioned. We chose a sea view room, so we were able to see the swimming pool and the sea, and being able to just walk out and be straight on the beach was just amazing!! The receptionist was very nice and helpful, and the owners are exceptionally kind and the loveliest people. I would highly reccommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Chania.
Good hospitality, kindness, and sincerity in dealing as if you were among your friends and family who love you. The location is excellent, close to bars, the market, and the bus stop to the city center, and the food is good and varied. The hotel manager, Anna, is an angel from heaven. She treats customers with kindness, love, and kindness. She is professional and experienced, Anastasia from the reception is more than wonderful and so are all the staff, thanks to them.
We've stayed here for 3 days, was a lovely location with friendly staff. Our room had a beautiful balcony which made our short stay even more enjoyable; location is great, the beach was 3 minutes away and 1 hour away from Chania. We would come back without any doubts.
Thank you again to the friendly staff at the reception who were very patient and waited for us to check in at 2am due to our flight having been delayed.
We wanted a hotel that was not a huge resort one, more like a boutique hotel and thought this would fit the bill but it wasn't quite right.
The location is fantastic, on the beach with great views, especially at sunset.
Breakfast was good - there was a reasonable selection and lovely fresh orange juice.
The staff were very helpful, and we organised a tour with the hotel which we really enjoyed.
We had a blast at Meliades Villas. The grounds, pool and view are top notch! Haris was an outstanding host and made us feel at home with his generosity and warm demenour. He takes a lot of pride in his Villas and it shows. The location is a perfect home base to explore some of Western Crete's amazing attractions like Balos, Elafanosi and Samara Gorge. We highly recommended staying here.
We loved it! The host Angeliki was so nice and helpful with everything! They care about the small things and this is what makes the hotel special!
From the flowers and herbs putted on the bed to the personally calling every guest by its name.
Breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable too.
We will wisit again for sure! Crete is a wonderful place and need to be explored more!
We had a lovely week's stay and were looked after by our host George. The apartments are close to the beach and are various spacious inside and are spotlessly clean. George was very helpful and knowledgeable of the ared and gave us some great tips in terms of places to go. If we come back to Crete, we would definitely come back and stay at Despina Studios again. Highly recommend,
The apartments are very nice and I did not expect cleaning service since it is an apartment and not an hotel but we got fresh towels and our beds made while we were staying. The managers are lovely. We arrived super late and they made sure we could get our keys and a map to find our place late that night.
Parking for the disabled at this hotel was a nice touch, as I was traveling with my elderly mother. The non-smoking rooms were clean and comfortable, and the room service was prompt and efficient. The 24 hour reception made it easy for us to check in late at night, and the free Wi-Fi was a definite plus.
Nice smallish resort on good stretch of beach west of Chania. the place is older but well kept. the staff is great - very friendly and helpful. the beach is nice but not the class white sand/turquoise water that you find in some places. outside the hotel there are many good (and many bad) places to eat.
The best part of this hotel, by far, is Maria, the manager. We just spent a month in Europe and she was the most memorable host we had! Her enthusiasm in helping us enjoy out time is unmatched. I wish she worked for the company I own in the US! The facility is brand new and really nice.
Place is very close to the beach. Only 100m It's not common think there in Chania region. Cosy small town with lot of place for dinner. All needed services are next on same street. Room has kitchen and everything. Free parking. Very friendly personel. New clean towels every day
A little bit outside of Chania, but very good beach strip and a lot of good restaurants nearby. The hotel was new (opened 07/23) so everything was very clean. The fitness room was well equipped. The morning buffet was big. Beach area was clean.
This hotel has a beautiful entrance and the rooms are just as lovely. Big spaces that are decorated very cozy and cute. The pool is nice as well and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. All for a nice price
Great location, with a garden and a pool; we had a huge apartment with a terrace, there is a free parking next to the hotel, the beach is just in front of the Ecso Bar and Pavlo from the bar is a genius of entertainment.
