Perfect atmosphere on a beautiful island with great view from the room. location is very nice and walking distance to the perfect beaches and lovely village. Room was big enough for us (+3 kids), crew was helpful and picked us up from the port and back to the ferry when needed. We had a great time and will be back for sure.

Fabulous room with a separate bedroom and kitchenette/ lounge area. Large patio with areas of shade whatever the time of day. Fantastic breakfast which could have kept us going for food all day! We also ate most nights in the owners taverna which had delicious home cooked food and excellent service for a very reasonable price. A choice of beaches within walking distance. No sun loungers on the beaches which is nice but worth buying a sun umbrella at the village supermarket to carry to the beach with you.

WOW what an amazing place to stay! It is located on a hill in a very quiet and scenic spot. We kindly got upgraded to stay in a gorgeous 2-bedroom villa which was modern, spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We loved our infinity pool and the views out to the ocean and other islands were absolutely stunning. The hosts were so lovely - at check-in they made sure we had everything we needed and gave us so many home-cooked Grecian treats and plenty of bottled water - it was so kind! We cannot recommend this place enough - such a peaceful and beautiful home to stay at!

It’s a beautiful island with fantastic beaches. Best time to visit would be September or June if you want a quieter holiday. The coast is flat so you can cycle quite a bit. There are regular boats to the beaches - an all day ticket costed 2.50€.

Hop on hop off to kato koufonisia and other beaches of the islands for 10 euro per day.
Friendly people all around. Fresh fish of top quality and selection
We rented a scooter that has proven to be a necessity.
There are also electrical assisted bikes.
Food prices at taverns in general are acceptable.
We could gladly have stayed more than 3 days.

I thought it would be quieter but it appears that Koufonisia has become more popular. We had to go to Kato Koufonisia almost everyday of our stay just to have a quiet and relaxing beach time. The hike was easy, a bit more tiring from the heat but it's worth it.

Lovely island for people who like walking, beaches and a relaxed pace of life without planning much. The island gets busy in mid-July to end of August so I wouldn't choose to go then. I think 3-5 days are best, many people also visit on a day trip.

Very small island. You can walk it.
Very small island. You can walk it. Furthest beach is 1 hour and a half scenic walk along the coast passing many other beaches. The port is the only town on the island. It has a nice ‘chora’ with surprisingly many restaurants and shops. Town is very clean with beautifully paved roads. Very much an upmarket feel to it, but no upmarket attitude, which is a plus. Quiet place. Not for party animals.
This is a special spot.. a “must to stay” stay if you get the opportunity!
I am so happy I found this hotel, it is absolutely perfect, so charming, the best on Koufonisi for sure! And is run by the sweetest staff, who are extremely hospitable and helpful!
Breakfast is served in a comfortable homy atmosphere just a few steps from the stunning turquoise waters of the island!!!
I would love to come back here and wouldn’t go anywhere else on the island (I did see others and this was my favourite)
Beautifuly landscaped and spotlessly clean, from the moment we arrived the welcome from the family/staff that run this hotel was exceptional. Our room was appointed well, comfy bed, nice balcony, clean modern bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and quality food. Located 50m or less from plenty of tavernas and supermarkets and less distance from town beach and taxi boat to some of the best beaches we have ever encountered.
Koufenesia is a very small island with very few hotels and it took me a long time to decide which hotel to get. Paradise Hotel was the PERFECT decision! It has all the amenities I needed- and MORE! They will pick you up at the port for FREE and the receptionist Dimitris was incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms are so spacious and super clean! The rooms are also updated! Location is perfect- close to the town and the beaches!
Tasso was an amazing host. He pick us up from the port at arrival and dropped us back at the port when we left. He provided a full fridge and kitchen of drinks and breakfast / lunch options. He gave us great recommendations for places to eat and what to see for our short 1 day trip. We highly recommend his hotel and I’d love to come back! You need more than 1 day to explore the cute island.
Absolutely amazing. We got a free upgrade to the hot tub room. The room was incredible, spacious, comfortable, the staff helped us daily, provided food, beach equipment, the breakfast was great. Very good location, walking distance from multiple beaches and the main town. I’d definitely recommend and would go back again!!
Breakfast was a fixed menu and no choices. They did offer plenty in that menu.
The beach and surroundings were great as was the water. There is a water taxi nearby to take you to the different beaches as well as into the town which is a hilly walk of about 3 km. Water taxi is 5 euros for the day on and off all day.
Loved the care the owner put into the apartment thinking of everything you might need even three types of coffee! Breakfast was well above average in choice and owner provided access to food in your own fridge. Provided welcome wine and snacks as well. Balcony lounge area was boutique quality.
The location was excellent, inside the center of Koufonisia. We discovered though that the location doesn't matter that much because Koufonisia is an extremely small island. The room had a nice balcony. The beds were ok. Mrs Eirini (the host's mother) was very friendly.
Excellent design apartments by the sea with a great view. The owners picked us up from the port and they were very nice and welcoming. A great option for a great island like Koufonisia. Very clean very good amenities like nespresso coffee and apivita toiletries.
The staff and host were incredibly friendly and helpful. They tried to make our stay on the island as comfortable as possible and gave us some lovely tips on what to see and do on Koufonisia. Over all, it was an amazing trip that we thoroughly enjoyed
Our renovated room at Sorokos was exceptionally clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed. The terrace overlooks a lovely garden that is a perfect place to relax. Sorokos is conveniently located within Koufonissia, everything a short walk away.
We planned on staying in Koufonisia a night before catching a ferry to Milos, but Keros Art Hotel was so accommodating, comfortable, and scenic, we spent 3 nights. The morning breakfasts had as large a variety of options we've ever experienced.
Hotel Nysis is truly a hidden gem on the island of Ano Koufonisi. brand new hotel, large rooms, extremely friendly manager, priceless view, imaginative breakfasts in baskets. a truly unforgettable vacation and we will definitely come back.
Really lovely hotel & helpful, organised staff. Yiannis was kind & accommodating when our plans needed to change with dates- much appreciated!
Whatsapping all of the details through is very useful!
Relaxing & lovely pool & garden area.
A great convient location. lovely suites and pool.
owners are ver caring and friendly. more like staying with friends than a hotel. breakfast is amazing homemade pastries and jams and very ample. just a pleasure all around.
Super friendly and welcoming staff. The view from our terrace was beautiful. The breakfast was simple, delicious, and affordable. The location was great for walking to the main part of the island and to the best beaches!
