This family run hotel and restaurant is over looking a gorgeous plateau, and a quick walk to the cave of Zeus. The apartment like suite was not only spotless and beautiful but had everything you could want with sm kitchen, fireplace, lots of space, balcony and a view die for, even a washer !…Oh and we didn’t even mention the incredible homemade food from the attached restaurant! fresh squeezed pomegranate juice and the best food you’ll have in Crete! Then to add the best for last -the wife , husband and son not only treated us with the best food and stay but generously helped us fix something that came loose on our car by first climbing under to look at it and then sending us to their friend in town , who was then waiting for us . (Cost 2 Euro ) The wife gave us her a greatest gift of hospitality, generousity and kindness even a gift of local plant tea . ALL THIS IN ONE OVER NIGHT STAY ! We can’t say enough praise about our stay in the suite or about the family .We only wish we would have know about this place when we were making our vacation plans, but it was a whim that we choose going the the cave and staying there as a side trip IT WAS THE BEST PART OF OUR TRIP TO CRETE!

The apartment is located at the edge of an old village on a hill crest, raising abover the Lassithi Plateau with a stunning view from the balcony to the east from Tzermiado to the high peaks "Afentis Christos" of the Lassithi mountains, inviting just to sit there and relax. The location is very quiet, the rare traffic on the road below is hardly audible. There are very good restaurants within 2km distance nearby. Very appealing new interior design and high quality equipment. The kitchen leaves nothing to miss, enough cutlery, plates, cups, cooking utensils etc. Very clean bath room. We slept well on the good mattresses. The owner communicates immediately and friendly on any request. We came with a baby, and they had a baby bed ready. The apartment is ideal for families with kids, balcony and interior is baby safe.

Very warm welcome at this family guest house. Beautiful views from the property. Enjoyed an evening meal from a limited menu but still overall stay was good value for money.

Delightful countryside, fresh air, great walks, caves to visit...awesome, and lush mountains as a backdrop. You will need a car. We ate in Tzermiado at Vasillios & Christine's taverna which was great. We enjoyed their food, especially grilled chicken, dolmades, other starters, the local wine and wonderful fresh cherries and strawberries. This area has the most fertile land and all the food and veg are delightfully fresh and lush. We drove, parked and then walked up to Karfi.... a Minoan site with quite a bit of remaining walls where houses had been. This was one of the last places that the Minoans lived at. Views to die for here. Birds, fresh air, and awesome views. Check it out. We love the people. You could have walked through the fields but we took the car for quickness.
