The location was amazing, right in the centre op San Pedro. It was a bit noisy at night, but the reception gives everybody earplugs so it is nothing to worry about. There was a very nice terrace with hammocks, and hammocks in front of the room, all very nice for relaxing :) the view of the lake was great!

The market is fabulous for fibery things.

The market is fabulous for fibery things. Backstrap looms, cotton weaving yarn, and finished yardage and garments. NOT touristy, hard to find coffee before ten a.m., and very little English-speaking. It's a noisy and bustling center for locals (rural Mayans). The shops and the market are a bonanza if you are a fiber tourist. If you're looking for an idyllic green and quiet oasis on the lake, you need to look to the outskirts of town, or hop on a ferry to one the many smaller, more tourist oriented communities

    Such a beautiful place.

Such a beautiful place. Went on a bird watching tour, Rolando our guide was very knowledgeable. We saw at least 45 species and he knew them all by their song. I get the feeling the local people are tired of tourists. Do not take photos without asking first and expect most people to say no. A good place to kick back and enjoy nature.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff was friendly and always had a smile on their faces and ready to assist. The restaurant was great, the food was delicious, fresh and very tasty. Much of the produce was grown on site in their garden. The sauna was great, and the private beach was nice. We loved it!! This was the first time that I have ever considered living somewhere other than California.

The hotel has a beautiful view, pool, and gardens. The restaurant serves a decent amount of options and the food was very good. We were able to enjoy all during the day when we arrived. However the entire town had lost power that day and the hotel did not have a generator. We spent our one night there in the dark with a few candles. The hotel did its best to accommodate this issue.

The hotel is centrally located not far away from the local sights (church) and the ferry. The room was very very clean, the beds are comfortable, the garden is beautiful. For this price it was a present! This accommodation had the best price/quality ratio during our holiday. If you want to discover lake Atitlan, make this hotel your base camp and do daily tours. Wont regret!

Nice location, right near the end of the road leading from the docks. Didn't even need to hire a tuktuk as it was basically a few steps away. Nice and secure with a locking gate. The all-women staff (woman-run hotel!) was incredibly friendly and laughed at my friend and I getting into the cold, cold pool...

Casa Josefa is the cleanest hotel in Santiago. It is located centrally in town so the life of the town is very near by. The garden and pool are immaculate. The staff is very helpful. If you are traveling on a budget, this is wonderful. Great service. Great rooms.

This was a very nice hotel, where I got to have my own tiny room inside the bigger dorm. The dining area and the balcony on that floor was very nice as well! The hotel is also only a couple of minutes of walking away from the central park.
