A beautiful place with a lot of history, culinary indulgence. The view is fantastic. You can use the hotel shuttle from the parking lot to the hotel; otherwise, the route is approximately 1.5 km long (on foot). The waiters tried hard and were in a good mood despite the occasional big crowd.
Boasting garden views, Casa Rossa Motovun offers accommodation with patio, around 23 km from Aquapark Istralandia. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay....

We had a great stay at Vina Fachin. The family that own the winery are so lovely and friendly. We also did a tasting of their wines alongside a platter of meats, cheeses and fruit, the wine and platter were exceptional.
The apartment is lovely, spacious and equipped with everything you need. It’s next to a patio that has a nice view of the area.
Whilst at the stay we had a small emergency and the family went above and beyond to look after us and our baby. We can’t thank them enough and hope to come back again for another stay. Thank you again!

We loved our stay here! The place is sparkling clean and new. Our hosts were so attentive and welcoming that we were sorry that we couldn’t stay longer.

Great place for lovers of medieval hill-top towns and truffles. One can enjoy just a stroll through the town and views of surroundings for an hour, can have a great dining experience or stay for days and explore Istria, one of the prettiest and welcoming places on earth. "Medieval" and "hill-top" also mean that you walk a lot on rugged cobblestone, you walk uphill and climb stairs, and "great place" means it's crowded in the high season (summer). Still, one of the better places to escape to from crowded coastal towns, focused primarily on visitors' wallets.

A classic medieval town that was so fun to explore.
A classic medieval town that was so fun to explore. Be sure to visit the cathedral (opened about 10 during our visit) and (carefully) climb the bell tower for a spectacular view of the valley and beyond. We visited in late October when some businesses had closed for the season and others were winding down. We would visit again in September.

Great location in old town.
Great location in old town. Wonderful people and amazing views from the walls and restaurants. Wine and truffle country and free samples were almost too much. Lol
Tiny and hilly old stone streets within a walled city oozing with history.
Our host was gracious, laid back and a pleasure to just chat with.
We would highly recommend.

It's a spectacular location on a hilltop with amazing views all-round of mountainous country including vineyards & olive groves. Delicious and reasonably-priced restaurants at the very top, friendly people, tons of charm. Nearby are several vineyards & the local wines are very nice, and affordable. Easy day trips to Pula, Rovinj, Buzet & others.

This was my first time in Istria.
This was my first time in Istria. We checked out Kozlovic winery, we sampled their delicious wine and had a tour. View is spectacular. Had dinner in Motovun, tried gnocchi with truffles, very tasty! Pictures of the amazing views do not do it justice. Will definitely visit again!

Motovun is lovely little town in the heart of Istria.
Motovun is lovely little town in the heart of Istria. I really liked it. The prices at restaurants in general in comparison to offer are a bit limited. However we managed to find something for ourselves at the end. We missed bakeries. We did not find single one so we travelled to Pazin on our way back home and found amazing bakery.
Perhaps tourism board should create a special list with all possible places providing food and menu of same, all in one place saves from walking especially if one has slight walking disabilities.
Everything else is lovely and look forward returning to Istria
spread over 4 levels, the apartment has everything you need. the dedicated parking space and nearby pool were wonderful features. we enjoyed the rustic touches paired with modern amenities. the decorating had many little discoveries in the nooks and crannies which were fun. our host was very friendly and enjoyed telling us all about the town and nearby places to visit. recommend sturdy walking shoes for the steep streets and passages up to the top of the town where the restaurants and little shops are located..
A very atmosperic B&B in the heart of beautiful Motovun, within the castle walls. The room was beautiful, with clean cosy bathroom and extra sitting space. There's a nice truffle shop, too. I ordered breakfast and it was delicious, good choice of cheeses, meats, fruit and eggs. Sandra was an amazing host, very helpful with parking and explanations about all the little details. Staying here made my last day in Croatia unforgettable. Thank you!
Hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the peninsula to visit most of the istrian cost locations. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We booked a premium room with a fantastic balcony, offering a lot of space and a superb view. Interior and exterior style of the hotel is extraordinary. Breakfast is high quality (only exception is the orange juice). Also here, helpful and friendly staff. All in all a very good stay at apprpriate cost.
We spent a night here. Perfect location to explore Motovun as it is a stone away from the main square. The room has been renovated and well maintained. We had a peaceful sleep thanks to the air conditioner. There is a large fridge, too. Communication with the owner was easy as she speaks English. Please take note that the stairs inside the building are very steep - you should bring only items you really need while staying here!
We had a great time in Motovun! The accommodation is very central, close to nice restaurants and beautiful views. We slept very well in the super comfortable bed. For those who travel by bike: we had the possibility to park our bicycles securely in the house. We are particularly grateful to the welcoming, helpful and friendly hosts who helped us so much with my bicycle that had a flat tyre. Thanks again!
The house is very spacious, at a great location, 10m above the road. The parking is 50m away at a public parking along the road. The owner paid for the parking during the stay. The view on the valley is beautiful, the kitchen is fully equipped, we used the air conditioning for heating in the evening. We were cycling along Parenzano and Motovun is a good starting/end point.
Great apartment with a fantastic view. Special praise goes to the host who really made an effort with detailed advice about restaurants and sights in Motovun and the surrounding area. The apartment also has various useful books and tourist guides, as well as a gramophone and a collection of gramophone records that you can listen to.
Motovun! The city is magical!
The terrace and the patio of the apartment is wonderful, wish we could relax on it forever. Highly recommend this place if you love Istra and Motovun. And it is also a great location for someone who is just starting to explore Istra.
An excellent location to explore Motovun and the area. Magnificent view. Shuttle service that took us from the parking to the hotel was great - friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with lots of options and imagination - everything was available!
The breakfast was very good. Good selection. They were not as strict regarding masks which was disappointing. Loved the location on the top of the mountain and the hotel offered shuttle service from parking lots below.
The host was super friendly and helpful. The bedroom is huge. We were traveling by bicycle so there was plenty of space for our bikes and all our kit. As for Motovun, what a beautiful place with a stunning view.
The property is tucked in the far end of the old Motovun town past the restaurants and shops. Staff were super friendly, room was easy to access up a flight of stairs, super clean and simple
Spacious well equipped character property with a nice balcony to watch the sunset from. Garden delightful to sit in. Steps up to Motovun just across the road. Barbara is a wonderful host.
