Everything was good highly recommended. Great hosts

We stayed here primarily to visit Plitvice national park but the area was beautiful, a complete contrast to the Croatian coastline. It felt very Austrian in influence with chalet style houses, lots of green countryside and flowers. It was also a lot cheaper to eat out and buy coffees/ice creams than on the coast. Plitvice was incredible (although v hot and busy in August). I would like to go back at a quieter time as there were long queues to get on the boats which was not ideal in the heat with children. It was a shame that there is nowhere you are allowed to swim as we would have enjoyed the opportunity to cool off!

A great location to get active.
A great location to get active. We did kayaking on the upper river Mreznica - Slunj, which was wonderful. We did this through the Hotel Mirjana&Rastoke, and they were excellent guides. We also visited the Plitvice Lakes for a day and did a great hike around the National Park.

Nice place, there's caves nearby and Plitvice national park to see. There's also a small, cute town Rastoke nearby. The people are very friendly.
There are a lot of small shops but not many souvenir shops are open during the winter time.
We really enjoyed walking through Rastoke with our dogs (there's even a dog beach there), the food in rastoke was amazing! We ate at "Kum".
National park Plitvice is a must-see, we recommend visiting during the week, since weekends are quite busy and if you're with dogs, it's a bit tiresome to move through guided groups/crowds.

We found numerous places of interest around.
We found numerous places of interest around. From Slunj and the fab restaurant (Petra) by the waterfalls, to the Plitivitc world heritage park, bat caves and scenery. Whilst we didnt travel with children there were plenty of things for families in the locality for all ages.
Locals all very friendly and helpful. All linked by a good road system and markings. The only disappointment was the zip slide that was closed when we visited.

We visited because of a trip to the NP Plitvička lakes but can imagine that one could spend longer time in Rakovics just enjoy some time off,go for walks as there is nice countryside arround, good restaurants..
This was a great base for exploring the Plitvice National Park area. The facility is quite luxurious and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was pleasant and the staff friendly. Great location in Rakovica - the national park is 15 minutes in one direction and Slunj/Rastoke old town is 20 minutes in the other direction (the location of the kayaking the Mreznica River tour). For an inexpensive and fun meal, try the Street Food cafe in Rakovica - great hamburgers and fries!
The owner’s mother met us and with the help of Google translate welcomed us to their lovely apartment. It was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. There us a table to sit outside and whilst not a beautiful view, it just felt relaxed and comfortable for our one night. It is close to the supermarket in Rakovica and on the way towards the Barac caves. A really beautiful area. They very kindly let us arrive early and even brought us a plate of delicious pancakes!!
The location was great for Plitvice National Park, the view from the porch was incredible if you like the country side views (I do!). I could have definitely stayed longer. I've been to croatia a couple of times and this is by far my favorite place to stay. The owners were really nice too! I brought my dog and he loved it, there were cats, dogs, horses, and goats so it's definitely pet friendly.
It was so quiet and peaceful! The apt was spacious and clean. After a very long day of traveling, it was the perfect place to settle in to. We were given recommendations to a nearby restaurant that was also amazing. And the horses on the ranch that appeared at sunset were almost like a dream. It was the perfect place to start our Croatian vacation.
The accomondation was excellent, house is situated at beautiful place, in silent part of Rakovica, near to Plitvice lakes. The owner was great person, very friendly, kind, helpfull and hospitable. He gave us a lot of good advices how to spent our holiday, what to do, see etc. Thank you Karlo for all you did for us :)
The location was really good! The Ranch looks really beautiful in the winters as well!
All facilities were similar to a hotel!
Really polite host.
Highlights are the animals on the farm. Really friendly..
Had a very authentic ranch experience with the wood fire heaters.
Really huge rooms!
First, the property matched the photos and if anything was actually better than the photos. Our host was very helpful with suggestions on dining and where to go locally. Room was large as was the bathroom as well. Easy access to the hotel from the car as well. A great value for us.
Very nice, clean apartment lacated in Rakovica, near to Plitvicka jezera. I recommend the breakfast, which is really great. All the staff very hodpitable and kind. Very close to the apartment is also something like food truck with absolute amazing burgers, or fish and chips.
Our 3 place in Croatia and it was the best! Clean, new, conscientious, they thought of everything!AC, balcony, kitchen, rainforest shower head. On a nice piece of land with apple trees. The host was so terrific, friendly, and helpful! Absolutely must recommend.
lovely place in the middle of rural croatia but a short drive to plitvice - what we expected. bedrooms big and comfortable. festive with christmas tree on the patio. lavendar themed! host very nice. bet it's beautiful with lavender in full bloom in season.
Perfect location from the National Park. Space was awesome with everything we needed ! The hosts greeted us with homemade Croatian treats and were so kind and hospitable! Beautiful home! highly recommend this place when visiting Plitvice Lakes!!
Beautiful location only 10 minutes from the national park. The host was so friendly and helpful. Our favorite place we stayed in Croatia especially for the value. There are several restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance.
The most beautiful accomodation in our Croatia, Slovenia & Austria trip. Very comfortable bed & nice rooms. The breakfast is yummy with good coffee & orange juice. There is a mini Mart and a few eateries within 4min walk.
Nice and quiet location. Very clean.
Fantastic host.
Breakfast is a must.
If you plan to stay in Rakovica (for Plitvice Park or not), no matter if it is for one night or two weeks, choose House Zupan.
The hotel is located near a supermarket and over a bar, but the bar does only sell drinks, so no croissant for the breakfast!
A must to prepare a trip to Plitvicka.
Rakovica is a great place for vacation! The apartment looks like the same as in the pictures, the owner is living downstairs.everybody was very friendly😊
