The appartment is large, clean with a terrace which had all day sunshine which is pleasant in the last week of September. Great kitchen and bathroom. Nice pool. Private parking behind a closed gate.
Anise, the landlady is very kind, welcoming and helpful. She clearly loves to be a host.

If beach is your trip's prerogative you'd better pass, but...
If beach is your trip's prerogative you'd better pass, but if not, then you're for some fine treat. Located in the picturesque Istria inland, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, Višnjan offers equal distance to sea and inland landmarks. Matterada beach in Poreč was to our liking. Also Kangera beach near Savudria some 25 km away also fits our ideal beach profile. Višnjan is quite small but features quite a good eatery like Borgonja where you can try local delicacies. There is a fine distillery near by some 4 km away in Cerjani, called Istarska Kapljica, featuring finest grappa and liqueurs. Don't miss going out to Motovun and Grožnjan especially during the jazz festival there. If you're a bit of a foodie then Astarea or San Roco in Brtonigla or Buščina in the village with the same name must be in your plan. Good wine and olive oil is easy to find, but I'd sincerely recommend Cuj in Faranžine. Biking is also great. Parenzana trail but also many more are crossing Višnjan. Nights out and fun ... than Poreč.

Beautifully decorated property and very polite and helpful owners. A cosy flat, perfectly clean, with all needed equipment (and even more). A bottle of good wine was offered to us when we arrived. The hosts were very friendly and easy to talk to despite the language barrier. They were helpful and the space was comfortable, clean, cozy and felt like an authentic living space. You don’t need anything else. Outside one can find a terrace with concrete grill and another dining table and jacuzzi - we all loved it. Barat is very small and peaceful village, the nearest shop is located in Visnjan 3km away.

Shops, restaurants, cafe and bakery within walking distance. Sea view. Kind hosts Ozren and Viktorija welcomed us warmly and were available the whole week and thereafter for questions and suggestions. A place to return to!
