Great place to stay with a fabulous view and coral reef out front.the family were sweet and helpful. We took boat trips to Friwen wall and Sawandarek from here. The ensuite made it even better. Everything basic but clean. It was the best food we had during our stay in Raja Ampat. Thankyou Lucy!

Beautiful new (Nov-2023) bungalows that get a gorgeous sunrise each day. Team are friendly and will help organise things to do if you need. We dove with Soul Scuba (which was so-so) but next time would probably just recommend to take the trips that the host Mima can organise. Make sure to check out the snorkelling at the Soul scuba jetty on Kri island though, it’s fantastic and the homestay can organise a boat over and back. Also Yenbuba jetty and village is interesting, as well as the house reef right outside the bungalows. A lot of people staying on Kri saw our bungalows when getting picked up for dive trips and you could tell they were impressed. Whilst Raja Ampat is a basic homestay area in general I do think think this is where this property shines. The shared bathrooms whilst basic, are clean and do the job (2 cold showers and 2 bucket flushing toilets) and as mentioned you do not need to walk on sand to get there as there is a nice boardwalk. Power is on from about 6pm-6am every night. The rooms, well the photos speak for themselves. There are two beautiful cats, and (mostly) friendly dogs (7 of them!) so perhaps consider this if you are dog-averse. When we booked we received a message to say “Raja Ampat is not for everyone” and it is true. If you are expecting a hotel or resort then this is not the place. But if you are looking for a down-to-earth, tranquil retreat, then this is a great place to stay!

Nice place. A bit away from the more busy part of Kri Island, but not too far away from the logistically important part. Therefore recommended for couples or people, who seek a nice place for themselves, rather than a place to meet a lot of new people. Good and clean facilities, especially compared to the other homestays. You can buy soft drinks and beer, if you want.

We liked the breakfast. The host tried to make different things everyday. Dinner was good. It was fixed times to eat your meal. The dinningroom was a good way to meet other people. If you want to go on a tour you just have to write your name on a board. Quiet place with long sandy beach. Snorkeling was perfect. Long jetty to get to the reef even during low tide. The huts are with private toilet and shower. They might need a little lift up. But all in all we liked it. The manager was very helpfull and nice.

The homestay is right on the beach so you have plenty of breeze. The house reef is pretty decent, though, at low tides, trash from the neighbouring village can accumulate close to the reef. The place is easy to access other neighbouring reefs at Turtle Homestay or on the other side of Kris Island, and there is even a short hiking trail

It is a very basic and still very comfortable living. We got an “upgrade” after one night and stayed at the outer cabin the rest of our stay, which was super nice! And also more windy and airy. It was very helpful and super nice to have English speaking staff. Gave us more insight and information about the place and area which was very helpful. Also super plus to stay on the water. No need for wifi when you have entertainment from sharks and other under water life! The 4G works too good here so would recommend to get an Indonesian SIM card if reception is important to you. There is also some dive shops nearby so this island got it all. This is a remote island life so bring whatever you need of snacks and necessities (mosquito repellent f ex).

Great experience for those of us who only snorkel, a huge coral reef with great opportunities to see black-tip reef sharks, turtles, schools of different fish... Location with a common area with marine life activity to be seen directly from the deck. Simple rooms, light from 6pm to 6am, private bathroom. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Great rate because the vibe of being in this wonderful part of Raja Ampat overcomes the possible challenges of a place where large structures would be an obstacle to sustainability.
