Super friendly and helpful hosts. The location is quiet and peaceful with a good pool and nice surroundings. You can hire a bike for a good price. One of us unfortunately got sick whilst we were here and the host organized a doctor and extended our stay which made everything stress free and was appreciated. There are only 2 rooms available so it feels nice and private. We stayed for 5 nights and often had the place to ourselves.

Wow, probably one of the best views I have ever had in accomodation. Honestly, I did not expect the stunning rice fields and volcano views that this place had to offer! It's bang in the middle of Sidemen as well. Waking up with the sunrise and nature was something I will not forget. The staff were also so helpful and friendly and you get more for your buck here! ✨

We loved the grounds, and the pool was beautiful. The room was lovely, the bed was comfy and the staff was always very friendly. We loved the Koi at the front of the building. Fed them every day. The scenery from our deck was so beautiful 😍

Villa Uma Ayu - a curate's egg . .
Spectacular location, lush vegetation, view of Gunung Agung, some charming looking cottages, plenty of ponds with fish, some surrounding the cottages. . and a swimming pool. Staff smiling and helpful. The usual included breakfast plus sweet Balinese option. On the plus side, the owner wasn't stuffy about amending our stay dates, and communication was good. Definitely not wheelchair accessible, no AC (not an issue for us).

Sidemen is still not too touristic and does feel off the beaten track. There is a lot of development happening, but locals still see people as people. It is walkable in 30-ish minutes. There is plenty of restaurants, tracks and things to do while being there. Would definitely recommend! Easy to get to and 1 hr away from the beach. Very calm and quiet.

my favorite place where Mt Angun, water rafting, and snorgeling in Blue Lagoon, quadbike thu the river and local area. Going to the Sideman silver smith and make or buy you jewelery eating in and aroud was made easy with many local restaurants. getting aroud was made very easy by renting a scooter very cheap and much quicker then a carVerbeek - 10Scored 10

Great authentic area to visit in Bali, the rice terraces are spectacular and also there are some nice views around if you go by scooter. Good area for tourist needs, nice warungs and restaurants ( i recommend Samanvaya) in the area, scooter rental and stores. Pretty close to many waterfalls, views and other atttractions like Penglipuran Village. The main streets get pretty busy sometimes and some b roads are in a really bad shape, but with a scooter you can overcome everything and the spectacular nature makes you forget any inconvenience.

Good and clean restaurant at the hotel. Several other restaurants at walking distance. Laundry and motor rental available. Nice traditional pasar only 5 to 10 minutes drive by motor. Do not be put off by the guesthouse title though, the rooms are excellent, had the only consistent hot water showers of our whole trip and the restaurant/food they cook was incredible with the ingredients grown in the garden. The staff was very attentive to my needs, always making sure that I was enjoying myself. Their spa is gorgeous and the quality of the treatments they offer is A1! Food is delicious; they offer complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea, and they host traditional balinese dancing events every Saturdays. I would highly recommend staying there!
