The manager was great, helpful and offering his motorbike to take me into and pick me up to town. We were right up on the mountain and it was beautiful. He also arranged for food to be brought from the closest Warung (because it's not easy to get into town). Without a doubt though, TG is a magical place, and this place is right up in the hills .. incredible views.

Landlord was very friendly and supportive. They got our laundry done and delivered back to our room.
It is cheap, so you get what you pay for. We only slept one night as arrived late night to Ubud and then had to move early in the morning to the east.

This property is exceptional because of its location, particularly the stunning view from own terrace. Rooms are just ok. They are generally clean, but could provide better cover and pillows. Outside bathroom was nice and generally clean. Breakfast was delicious.

Villa Raja was so nice, staff was very friendly! Nice to have complimentary tea or coffee and sweets in the afternoon. And the surroundings are the best

We stayed just one night to visit the Gates of Heaven. I feel is enough to see the surroundings and have a feel of the place. We found the tickets a bit expensive. I mean is a nice place but not to pay 10$. You can see Tirtagangga in 20 minutes, depending on whether you are an instagramer and you take selfies in every corner, then you can stay there for over an hour, although is very difficult to take good selfies as there are people everywhere.
Around the entrance, there are a few restaurants and shops. But please I would say to the owners or whoever takes care of this place, tell people not to feed the fish. They are huge! and it's because the shops nearby sell food so you can take a picture with the fish.

We were lucky to arrive when it wasn't peak season, there were still a few posing Instagram poofters that were over the top and holding up the actual view. I'd hoped that they were going to fall in the water!!!

Nice place to chill out and feed the fish.
The bonus here is that there aren't annoying hawkers and street urchins trying to con you out of you cash.
It is a temple, enjoy it's peace and tranquility~!

If you want peace and quiet this is the place.
If you want peace and quiet this is the place. I recommend to anyone. The accommodation was unique and the space was excellent. We chose not to but the staff were accommodating and would have arranged day trips if we wanted.

I should that the facilities are cheap and simple.
I should that the facilities are cheap and simple. The only electric equipment is a fan (a good one). The shower works, but floods the floor. It's in an isolated place, on a broken road, and Indonesia's main roads are not for pedestrians. The food however is delicious and cheap.

Very nice place to visit. Taman Tirta Gangga is a must.
Very nice place to visit. Taman Tirta Gangga is a must. Many beautiful ricefields with a view towards Gunung Agung in the region. Pura Lempuyang with the famous gate to heaven, another must see in the region, especially for Instagramers. However, in my view the temple is not worth visiting for the money to be spent there. The obligatory transfer from the parking to cash desk, obligatory rental of sarong, entrance (donation but try not to pay), every photo with Agung view. They charge you on every step. Better visit Tirta Empul or Goa Lawah.

The gardens are quite lovely - but in reality - only takes an hour to walk through them all - more if you stop to take photos every minute... but even with lots of photos 2 hours is more than enough - it is very picturesque - and highly recommend you go as part of a tour - but don't stay in the accommodation.
Love this place more every time, and have visited many times. The location is perfect: who would not love to have a water garden for a front lawn? And the cottages are uniquely charming. The decor is so not hotel! They are delightfully idiosyncratic, and always make me wish I knew the owner. Windra, our host, is always delightful and goes out of his way to make our stay perfect. It is convenient having a reasonably good restaurant with a great view right next door. we cannot wait to go back again!
It wasn't hard to find, right off the main road. There was a large parking area in front. We were served a welcome drink. The rooms were huge with bathrooms also large. We did not have a lot of time at the hotel, arriving late and leaving early the next day but the stay was comfortable. The restaurant served ok food. Not the best but passable. For the price it was good.
Amazing place with an amazing host and his family.
The villa is in the middle of many ricefields. the view from the rooms and in the roof is wonderfull.
On clear nights the view of the stars from the roof is spectacular. It is a little bit isolaties but Imakasu (the host) will help you find your around Tirtagangga.
A true Bali experience.
The closeness to Tirtagangga. The breakfast. The fact that the owner took quite good care of the room. The room itself is a place where you would not mind to spend time on a rainy day and read a book.
The shower is outside, but that did not derange me. The hot water was working.
The hotel is located right next to the water palace; the view is beautiful from the balcony; the staff is very helpful and courteous; the weather was so good that we spent a lot of time in the balcony; the view of the water palace at night is peaceful and serene.
In terms of the actual hotel (and restaurant) you can probably find better value for money, but staff is great and location absolutely unbeatable. Having the royal garden all to yourself after the tourist masses have left is very special.
Beautiful view from the terrace, super friendly & helpful host, very nice breakfast served on the terrace, great value for money. if we ever make it to Tirtagangga again, we will definitely stay at Pondok Alam Bukit.
Staff is nice, was willing to help out with renting a motorbike from a nearby shop (They don't have any at hotel). The view from the terraces is good as well, if you plan to hang out there all day.
what I liked was how the hotel advertised itself as the best view in Bali…. it was a fantastic view of the rice paddies and Mt.Agung. and the staff would bring every meal right on time
The room is comfy, traditional and nice❤️ The hotel is on the hill, so the view is magnificent. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is yam
