Host was lovely, though we got to know their dogs more than them (which wasn't anything our group minded one bit!). Nothing was wrong with the stay but it didn't exceed expectations. I feel the price should have come with a complimentary breakfast, since the room wasn't anything too special. The host requested cash payment only but I did not know this until day of; she was flexible and accepted my card payment instead, which was nice. You can easily hear others in the house but luckily, noise levels were maintained throughout the evening/night. No complaints really, but nothing too special worth noting either. Their dogs were what stuck out the most, so be aware if you aren't a dog friendly person - it's not the place for you :) Free parking on site, which was great for us.

Smooth check in from the friendly staff.
Smooth check in from the friendly staff. Asked for our two rooms to be on low floor, quiet & one for someone with mobility issues. All of these were as requested. Rooms were MASSIVE! Beds super comfy, rooms & bathroom spotlessly clean. Bottled water, tea, coffee, biscuits, hairdryer, safe, iron and ironing board in all rooms!!! Plenty of storage for clothes and suitcases. Ate at the Bia & Co restaurant in the hotel and have to say the staff were very attentive and helpful with choosing food. The food was exceptional, very reasonably priced and the desert the best I've ever had! Bravo to the chef! The live entertain was awesome! We had an amazing night singing our hearts out. The bar staff and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast did not disappoint! A huge selection of cooked breakfast items, hot and delicious. Again tge staff were very attentive bringing us copious amounts of tea & coffee. Check out was smooth and again friendly staff on reception. There is a gym and pool at the hotel too but unfortunately didn't use it but the pool looked very inviting. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Claregalway Hotel & will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing stay!

We have stayed here loads over the last 18;years never had a bad word to say about this hotel till now reception staff were not 1 bit friendly and made me to feel like a stranger , when my details should all have been in their system , also asked to pay up front ! I’ve never had this done before , bar staff were very young and in experienced , lady on reception for the dining was exceptional , hopefully this hotel will go back to its old ways of welcoming its former guests ,

We stayed in the hotel for one night.
We stayed in the hotel for one night. We were upgraded to the presidential suite which was a wonderful surprise as I was celebrating my graduation. The room was very spacious, comfortable and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. My gluten free full Irish breakfast was excellent. There was also gluten free muffins, scones, bread and a selection of cereal. I was very impressed overall and look forward to staying again.
It was easy to find. The beds were comfortable. We loved the pool experience, that is what made our stay truely enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, gentleman at front desk, early monrning - our last day -when we were leaving, brought some coffee condiments after I rang reception. Very helpful and friedly staff. The food at restaurant was lovely. Loved the chicken salad, kids loved the pancakes, and the lamb shanks was great. It was a good priced accommadation, for a budget, and it had a pool!
This is a Wow! factor property.
Located not far from Galway, we enjoyed three nights at Claregalway Castle.
Our host was fantastic and made sure our stay was all that it could be. Our room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the breakfast generous.
But even more, staying in the restored Castle with all its history was phenomenal.
Our host gave us access to view the ballroom, the tower and other parts of the Castle, where we could learn more about its history.
The location was awesome as it was close to Galway but far enough from the crowds. The grounds itself and the property are magical - I spent two happy mornings having my tea outside on the many tables and benches provided. My kids loved the fresh milk, cereal, fruit and croissants at breakfast and the welcome wine was a great option! We also encountered a very sweet cat while there and she was the highlight - she was so friendly!
The castle tower and the farmhouse was from the 1400 and has been very well restored! There is so much history in the hotel! The rooms are not in the tower but on the newer building around the premise. The place is vast and our rooms were facing east, we were greeted by the morning sunlight! Beds were comfortable and toilet were clean!
Our breakfast was fantastic, above and beyond.
The family was having someone, out of the home, be away with health difficulties, but they did not let that interfere with their day-to-day operations, everything was totally superb. They did everything to make our stay comfortable.
The staff Dione and his team were warm and welcoming. I loved the feeling of being at home in the Castle. The accommodation was clean and neat. Views were beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely return to stay at the Claregalway Castle
Location was great outside the city but close enough for a day visit. Room was fantastic. We had a family room that included a separate sitting room and bedroom. Bar, dinner and breakfast all great
One of our favorite stays in Ireland! Such an incredible experience. To stay in a castle with so much history was such a treat! Everyone was so welcoming, professional, and kind!
Beautiful buildings with antiqùe furnishings. Lovely surrounds. Staff very welcoming and short walk to hotels. Free car parking on premises. Very good continental breakfast.
Fantastic family hotel, kids loved the pool and gorgeous breakfast. Not the best kids pizza but our food was delicious. Staff went above and beyond for my Autistic son.
I loved the hotel, the food was amazing, as we had young kids we couldn't experience the live music in the bar. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay
