This is a lovely stately period hotel. It currently undergoing refurbishment but any disruption was minimal. It looks out over the River Lee and is very peaceful. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished with a river view. Parking was free and easy to access. The Restaurant meals were of a very high standard. The included self service continental breakfast was generous but we also ordered additional cooked breakfast from the menu. Nice choices. All the staff were very helpful and professional. Highly recommend.

The area is beautiful, " foot of the Misty Mountains" type beauty, all the locals are friendly and there is a lot to do and explore.. Majela was a perfect host and and as natural hosts do , had eggs ,butter and milk in in the fridge, home made bread on the table and treats.
