The staff are hands down incredible first and foremost. The food was the best I had in 8 days in Kerala. The design, attention to detail and antiques across the property are incredible and makes this feel like a home, not a hotel. The pool, gardens and view are top class. I also had private yoga class each morning that was great.

Lovely small homestay run by a wonderful family, who took care of my every need (and more) as a solo female traveler. Walking distance to the bird sanctuary (a little dilapidated but worth it for the stork colony) and the lakeshore, and perfect location for walking or cycling along various canals (bikes and directions provided for free). Room was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfasts were fabulous too, as well as conversations with the hosts, who built this charming "wooden castle" as a labor of love. Highly recommended!

The staff were very friendly and professional. The naturalist, Vishnu, the waiter, Jithin, and the chamber maid, Lijamol, deserve particular praise for their exceptional service. The villa was spacious, pool divine with plenty of sun beds and attentive lifeguards and the food in the restaurant was delicious.

Such a beautiful spot right in the lake. Absolutely delicious home cooked meals. Best food we had in Kerala.
Nice and very green town. Beach is hugh and consists of white sand. It's a shame, that there is so much rubbish and rubbish-burning-sites right on the beach. The waves are sometimes too rough to swim.
