Beautifully restored Chettinad mansion. Rooms were very spacious with lovely period furniture. Beautiful old photographs of the owners family are displayed through the property and it adds a unique homely touch and takes us back in time. We tried the vegetarian Chettinad saapadu which was awesome. We took a nice evening walk around the village with Mr. Siva who also gave us tips for sightseeing around the region and even arranged for us to see the owners other mansion in a nearby village. The staff went out of the way to make us comfortable.

The fact they were able to have and maintain a swimming pool in the village even if it is a bit of a 5 mins walk is amazing. Washrooms were comfortable and specifically constructed for this though the steps could be avoided to support elderly guests.
