Everything was a surprise. We did not expect anything, and it's a new property, and we have had bad experiences in the past with other places.
They were top notch on food and facilities, and it was easy to communicate with the hosts.

Everything awesome, the owners are a lovely couple that is very friendly and hands on.
The rooms are spotless, large, with a beautiful bathroom and many thought through details for a great stay. Their home made soaps have a fantastic scent. The garden is beautiful, with a good size pool and river views.

Vala House is located at the very end of Cherai Beach, a quiet and serene location, perfect to unwind. We stayed there for 7 nights and felt very welcome throughout our stay. The room was tidy and clean, with a beautiful view on the backwater pond and the sunrise. The staff were exceptionally caring and forthcoming: Lalu took care of our laundry and even got our torn clothes fixed at the tailor, Vishnu organised a trip to Allepey for us. And above all the breakfast was delicious with classic home cooked Kerala meals and fresh fruit and eggs. Cherai beach is a stroll away and a small beach can be reached within minutes. Can highly recommend a stay at Vala House if you’re looking for a quiet and beautiful getaway in a non touristic part of Cherai.

It was situated away from the crowds in a good part of Cherai beach . We were offered very good hospitality by the staff on site . Very clean and comfy place . Has a good pool which is kept clean .
The breakfast was the only meal made in the property and was sumptuous and adequate .
