Hotel Breidavik, hotel in Breiðavík

Set in the quiet countryside of the Icelandic West Fjords, this guesthouse offers rooms with sea views and breakfast, as well as hostel-style self-catering rooms.

The host was very nice! The little girl that was helping in the hotel did an amazing job serving everyone at dinner. De food was delicious and the bananabread that we bought the next morning was very good! We really loved how chatty and nice the lady was. This was totally worth the money and if i would go to the Westfjords again, we would 100% book this hotel again. :)

Hænuvík Cottages, hotel in Breiðavík

Quietly set in the Westfjords of Iceland, these cottages are located along the Patreksfjördur Fjord. Each offers cottages with cooking facilities and views of the scenic sea and mountain countryside.

The location is off the beaten path, secluded and authentic, amidst a bird colony and wild view. The road there is not for the weak of heart :)

Sigtún 4, hotel in Breiðavík

Located in Patreksfjörður, 22 km from Pollurinn, Sigtún 4 provides recently renovated accommodation with free WiFi and a garden. The property features garden and city views.

Really nice spacious flat under the main house with private entry. Well equipped and everything worked well including WIFI (it always seems to in Iceland). Easy parking just a few meters away and plenty of classic glaciated landscapes and fjord scenery in the area. Good supermarket in the town, also petrol.

everything is geared to make more money, no spoons in the communal kitchen, very poorly equipped, it in their restaurant so they can make more money out of you, the room was over priced at least double then what it should be, not really guest friendly.

Best location, close to Latrabjarg cliffs, a beautiful old building with a great vintage vibe in a beautiful area. Rooms are simple but clean and cozy, not too small. A nice breakfast is also included in the price. The hotel has a nice bar and a resturant and the staff are extremely nice, we had a problem with the hot water and it got fixed in no time - many thanks! Would love to come back one day.

The location of the hotel is beautiful, in the very pretty Brediavik. The view is very rewarding. There is not much around so the hotel is pretty much the only option for staying overnight. Also the hotel offered a buffet breakfast which we liked a lot ( European breakfast- vegetarian but no vegan option except 1 fruit). The working stuff was nice.

We stayed here for seeing the puffins. The host gave us info about how best to see them, without us even asking. Being remote, the place offers a good restaurant, good breakfast, and comfortable stay. And the close and unforgettable viewing of the lovely puffins makes the long drive really worth it. The hotel is a little pricey but understandable.

So pity in that location they are not able to have all rooms with cover for bed and pillow! Is a little bit shame in this century for a hotel!

Overall okay. The private rooms with private bathroom were okay (slightly outdated). No WiFi. Little expensive for the room standards, but assuming because it’s very far out on the WestFjords and not many hotel options in the area. Breakfast was good. Owner/staff were great.
