Really a beautiful place! The host took us to the house and showed us around. Great hotpot and sauna, we really enjoyed it here. The path leading to the house is rougher than we expected. No problem with a 4x4, but a normal car with standard clearance could be a problem.

Good location to visit sites in SE Iceland. The room was very clean and comfortable. The meals were amazing. Lots of variety and everything was delicious. The owner was helpful with directions to site seeing spots and always pleasant even when busy with meals or other tasks.

Hrifunes is the perfect spot to stay if you are planning one...
Hrifunes is the perfect spot to stay if you are planning one exploring Vik and Diamond Beach. The cabins are clean and the views and paths to walk are excellent. The staff is very helpful and the meals if you choose to partake are excellent. We would definitely return to Hrifunes if the opportunity ever arises.

Everything was as advertised. We especially enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the community table. The food was delicious and meeting fellow travelers from around the world made this stop unique and a highlight of our trip.

The best place during our Icelandic trip. TOP owner very welcoming, very nice employees. The surrounding is fantastic, so quiet and beautiful! Accommodation was perfect well designed to feel as at home , very practical, I took ideas for my new house, so well arranged with real nice taste completely in harmony with view and surrounding. So cozy. Home made products wonderful, it was a pity to not have planned for additional nights! I warmly recommend, don’t miss!

Great place to go.
Great place to go. Beautiful scenery and very quiet to relax. I used as a base to explore the glaciers in Iceland south and southeast. Very good to relax after a day hiking. Need car. 30 mins after Vik and 1hr before the main glacier. Majority of restaurants and main grocery store located in Vik. Several places to go and activities around. Hike and climb in the Glacier was the highlight of my trip.

Absolutely great place to stay while in Iceland.
Absolutely great place to stay while in Iceland. Rooms were great, silent and modern. Everything worked really well. Views at the property are so calming and you could just spent hours there watching the horizon. The satff was super friendly and welcoming and it felt like staying at friends instead of guesthouse.
