You either like it or hate it. We were unlucky to be there in a pretty bed weather, cold weather front with torrential rain instead of a nice and warm Easter weekend. Yet, the guys living and working there made it unforgettable. I will definitely come back!

All rooms are traditionally furnished and overlook the Tuscan countryside. The Casa Lapolla V. restaurant serves typical dishes of the Garfagnana area.

The hotel is located in a typical small town, the view is beautiful. The place was very peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was traditional Italian. We had a very delicious Easter lunch. The people were very caring.

The accommodation completely exceeded our expectations. A very old and historic building, with an amazing garden and incredible 200-year-old trees. The owner is a friendly, pleasant, nice lady with perfect English. Excellent breakfast, a breathtaking town center. I rank among the most beautiful places we visited. 10/10 = RECOMMENDED!

Le Casine del Borgo is situated in Borgo a Mozzano, 22 km from Lucca and 39 km from Pisa. Bagni di Lucca Spa baths are a 10-minute drive from the property. Every room has a flat-screen TV and kettle.

Not a long walk from the train station, close to (and with a view of) the Magdalene Bridge, overlooking the river. Also a short walk to the Penny supermarket. The double room we booked is a full apartment, with a decent kitchen, washing machine, small balcony with washing line, and a second bedroom with bunk beds. The owner was friendly and made communication easy via WhatsApp. She walked us through the keys and the apartment easily enough despite our not speaking Italian and her not speaking English.

The host moved us from our original booking (the one being reviewed here) to her other property closer to the river and the Devil's Bridge, so in the end we didn't stay at the Casa Macina so I can't really review it! The host was friendly and easy to communicate with, and the property was very clean and as advertised, so I imagine the other one is too.

Situated in Barga in the Tuscany Region, Agriturismo Chioi features a seasonal outdoor shared pool and barbecue. Free WiFi is available and free private parking is available on site.

Host was readily contactable and very helpful. Location is stunning and the property well maintained. Self-catering facilities were perfect for our stay. Swimming pool was excellent. 15 minute walk to the town, which had a good range of facilities.
