Laura was warm, friendly and welcoming. She made a real effort to use Google translate to chat and make sure we understood the practicalities of our stay. The room was large and airy and had everything we needed. Breakfast was not really provided but Laura gave us a croissant to go with the complimentary tea/coffee. We liked the decor and appreciated the very tasteful upcycling Laura had done. We didn’t have time to use it but there is a good sized garden that would be great for children. Even though we only stayed one night, Laura made a great suggestion to use a local hot pool after dark. She lent us towels and led us there by driving her car in front of ours. Her little boy was brought along too and yet she was still happy to take us. She waited to explain the procedure as the pool was a free natural facility in the middle of a very dark field. She then left us to enjoy a peaceful, starlit experience. Good location for visiting various villages and sites in the area. Local eating place was a jolly place full of locals and we ate a great pizza.

Testone is set in a quiet and beautiful farm setting. It's a little difficult to get to (car is a must), but is well worth it! It was great seeing the cows and sheep on the farm. The breakfast was great and most if not all cured meats and cheeses are produced on the property. The fresh ricotta was one of my personal favorites and the cured meats were extremely flavorful and expertly prepared. The dinners were outstanding and were very traditional Sardinian cuisine. We were extremely lucky to have an unexpected surprise when we ate dinner here - su filindeu (the rarest pasta in Italy)! This was really cool and appreciated! Matteo was an outstanding host and was extremely kind and helpful.

This was the 14th place we have stayed in Sardinia. For us it was perfect. Very quiet in the middle of the country. Magnificent views. A lovely swimming pool to cool off after a long day of cycling. A cold beer followed by a delicious vegetarian meal… what more could anyone ask for

Excellent facilities. Spacious. Comfortable. Clean Great coffee. I had been cycling in the rain for the whole day and entered a very well heated space. Over the last four weeks I have stayed in some cold rooms. Le Rondini was the complete opposite. It was absolutely cosy and overnight my clothes dried off. Brilliant!
