Location was great. Property even better as it seems like a part of a castle. Big spacious room with plenty of day light. Breakfast was great, my favourite is always homemade cakes n Cornettis. Would prefer hot hard boiled eggs instead of cold one but no big deal. Hosts were very professional and made our stay comfortable.
A 2-minute walk from the historical centre of Carovigno in the upper Salento area, Dimora Dell'Osanna Raro Villas Smart Rooms Collection offers elegant rooms set in a converted 16th-century convent.

The property is lovely as are the staff. I’ve visited probable 20 times over the last few years. Very happy guest. Last year the check-in system was changed. Terrible. I complained to one of the managers in June/July 2023. It was a case study on how not to deal with complaints.

The property is very nice and clean. In the nature and in quite zone without any noise. There is no any place to eat around but the host accompanied us to a nice restaurant in the near city.

a wonderful small white city amidst a countryside of olive groves, more white cities built on hills, castles, and gorgeous beaches.
Amazing food in a variety of absolutely first grade restaurants. Not cheap but a gourmet's delight.

Access is a total nightmare, it involves using a link on a mobile telephone that didn’t work. No reception, an incredibly steep staircase of 30 steps up to the suite door and it’s not a suite, it’s a sitting area with a mezzanine sleeping area. This is absolutely unsuitable for anyone with any health or fitness issues and certainly not for an elderly couple like us with heavy luggage!

A nice small town. 15 minutes drive to a wide selection of beaches. Very quiet in the afternoon period - very little options to get a coffee / small snacks between 1.30pm - 5.00pm. Great restaurant options in the evenings. A wide variety of choice and type.

The small historic town of Carovigno is easily seen within a few hours. The castle is worth a visit, as are the churches. There are some amazing restaurants too.
Carovigno is best accessed by car, for two reasons: one, the railway station is 7 kilometres from the town and two, there are some beautiful beaches to visit that are easily reached by car but not by public transport.

Carovigno has a wonderful, ancient town centre which is pedestrianised in the evening so you can enjoy the area as it would have been without cars spoiling the view. The restaurants in the centre are diverse and offer al fresco dining. Couldn't try them all, wasn't there long enough.

A great sense of the local customs and local history from the descriptions outlined in the Castle itself which is not to be missed.
The main Square or Piazza exudes the historical and the monument to the Second World War Soldiers who died conveys the sacrifices made very well.
The atmosphere is almost surreal and would be a good location for a movie set connected with the 1940's.
The local fruit and veg store and local supermarket were great and reasonable. The restaurants were very quiet and were great to have stayed open so early in the season.(January)
The coast is nearby and do walk the Cycle Way on R33 which is a gem of old lane walking among Olive Tree farms and old stone walls and a lot of reconstructed walls also.
Weather was blue skies and averaged 12.5 degrees ; beautiful and sunny mostly;
Thanks Italy and the old Roman Stronghold of Polignano Sur Mare and Ostuni stunned us into silent admiration. Don't miss them.
We were awaited by the owner upon arrival. Place was clean and up to description. We had a surprise with the owen (after switching it on the electricy went off..) and even though it was Saturday evening, the owners organised an electrician to immediately fix the issue. Not something most of the owners would do.
Kitchen was fully equipped. It's a good location to further explore the Puglia region for daily trips.
The owners were friendly and even brought us croissants as a farewell gift.
We recommend this place.
A gem literally a few steps from the most beautiful part of Carovigno, the historical center. It has a fully working fireplace that is extraordinary nice in the cold months. We arrived in December and the fire was on. There is a small, but very nice kitchen where you can both cook and have your meal. The apartment is equipped with the virtual assistant Alexa that does everything from switching on and off the lights to play exactly the music you like. It is very comfortable and I will for sure visit again.
Stop looking further! This is a really relaxing place. The rooms and bathrooms are super clean. The breakfast is good. The owner Fabio is just there whatever we need for. He also gave us a big favor for room arrangements. We were so grateful!
The location is good, less than 10 minutes drive to Ostuni. We will definitely come back for next visit and highly recommend to people who wants to travel Ostuni, Alberobello and other cities in Puglia.
We really enjoyed our stay in Eden Hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, in the middle of greenery and olive trees, but also very close (10 Minutes walking) from the beautiful small town of Carovigno, where you can find a number of nice restaurants. The hotel has a very good swimming pool. The staff are really nice and helpful. The city of Ostuni is only about 5-7 minuets driving. Breakfast is very good too. Overall excellent stay.
We loved everything about our stay at The Proud Garden. The hotel grounds are absolutely sublime, and the location is prime for exploring Ostuni and surrounding beaches. Barry did a phenomenal job with making us feel welcome. We truly appreciated the hospitality of this amazing hotel. We will return for our next visit to Puglia. Thank you Barry and the rest of The Proud Garden staff!
Undoubtedly the best located apartment in Carovigno placed at the entrance of the main square and the old town. It is a perfect setting for exploring Carovigno. Refreshments and restaurants are virtually on your doorstep. The apartment is very pleasant, modernised and equipped very thoughtfully. It is the type of place you would return to time after time. Excellent experience!
Excellent stay, Giusi is a fantastic host. She is very friendly and gave us a lot of useful information. Would definitely recommend it. And on top of that, Carovigno is quite strategic and close to many gorgeous locations.
Huge room, very comfortable - with private terrace and access to a “private” pool (in separate building to main hotel). Super quiet, even when events happening in the garden. Lovely staff - in particular Svetlana.
This apartment was absolutely beautiful. Had every comfort that one would need: 2 A/C's, WiFi, Coffee, Bottled Water. I will recommend to friends when they visit me in Carovigno! Owner very nice!
