We stayed in April for 4 days as a family with a 5y old. We stayed in the garden house, while there also seems to be another accommodation underneath the house the owners life in. The garden house is spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the garden and visiting cat. Unfortunately the weather was unusually cold and rainy for April so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool. Note the pool is very small, approx the size of 2 bathtubs. Owners were very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation is within walking distance to the old town of Cisternino (approx 15 min). There is secure parking behind a gate. Supermarkets within walking distance.
Fly into Bari or Brindisi airports, then take a train to Cisternino, approximately 90km away. Alternatively, drive from major Italian cities; Rome (500km, 5 hours), Naples (350km, 4 hours). No direct public transport from international locations. Transfers required.
The most convenient airport for Cisternino is Bari Karol Wojtyla Airport. It's approximately 90km away, offering both domestic and international flights, and has good transport links to Cisternino.
Cisternino, Italy, is best navigated on foot or by bike due to its compact size. Public transport is limited, with no local bus or train services. Car hire is available, but parking can be challenging. Taxis are an alternative, albeit more expensive. For longer distances, the nearest train station is in Ostuni, 15km away.
The historic centre of Cisternino, with its charming whitewashed houses and narrow streets, is the best area to stay. It offers easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and shops, making it convenient for visitors.
Cisternino, Italy, enjoys a Mediterranean climate with mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. Average temperatures range from 8°C in January to 25°C in July. The summer season, from June to August, is typically dry, while the winter months, from November to February, experience the most rainfall. Despite the seasonal changes, Cisternino's climate remains relatively temperate throughout the year.

Cisternino is a beautiful town with friendly people.
Cisternino is a beautiful town with friendly people. My Italian is bad but I never had any problems being understood and everyone was very helpful. Go to a place once and they will remember you and your preferences. The food is delicious and plentiful.
The town is clean and safe. One of the really nice things is you can go to the edge of town and farms and vineyards are a short walk. Have a drink or coffee in one of the cafes near the edge of town and enjoy the view.

Cisternino quite rightly is one of the most beautiful town of Italy. We so enjoyed meandering the warrens of beautiful cobbled streets surrounded by immaculate white buildings adorned with an assortment of vividly coloured flowers. The people were so friendly and food and general vibe was fantastic. A truly lovely place to stay and explore Puglia! Less touristy and packed than the neighbouring towns. We will be recommending to everyone we know .

The town is lovely.
The town is lovely. Try to visit the weekly local farmers market (fruit, veg, olives, nuts, plants, cheese and more). There is one Monday mornings. Ask a local to direct you.
There is a great bakery in town called Al Vecchio Forno on the Piazza Mazzini. This is a nice area to walk around at night and it's full of restaurants. A Pté nearby is a cute grocery to get cheese, meat etc. Please buy stuff here and support the local farmers. 😀👍
The town is very scenic, so visit anytime of day for good photo ops and views.
For a good cup of coffee and the best pastries, go to a very popular spot called Almond just outside of town. It's not too difficult to find street parking here, and it has a nice outdoor seating area. Don't miss the creme filled Pasticciotto and Tette Delle Monache. Top!
There's so much more to tell about Cisternino, but it's up to you to discover it yourselves 👍 Best to visit spring and autumn!

Lovely area for the traveller that likes access to several town and city centres with historic quarters. Cisternino itself is one of the nicest hilltop towns albeit relatively small. As a holiday location it provides easy access to many other centres, usually with a short drive. Other key locations like Matera can also be visited within a day trip.

There is a large market in town on Mondays. Bakery's and Bar's had freshly baked croissants. Fruit vendors had delicious items. A historic town that's lovely to walk at night. Very lively!

Casa di Alice is a modern apartment in a quiet alley (apart from an excellent meat restaurant below which can be a little noisy midday over the weekend) The apartment is tech savvy in every way. Basic amenities are provided and it is tastefully appointed. The hosts are also wonderful, helpfully, accommodating and obliging. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, it’s the go to place if you’re visiting Cisternino. Highly recommend.
Borgo Altobello is such a hidden gem in the lovely countryside of Puglia.
Everything is just perfect about the place.
The location is great, ideal for a retreat and not far from lovely Italian villages.
The property is stunning and done up with such great taste.
Sara and her family are so helpful and they made sure we had everything we needed to spend the perfect holidays.
We had such a wonderful time, grazie mile.
Incredible stay at a beautiful and peaceful Trullo.
The Trullo was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed and was warm and cosy.
The hosts were especially welcoming and provided excellent recommendations for the nearby region.
We have been to many holiday homes around the world, this was one of the best.
The Trullo is located in the countryside not far from the beautiful village of Cisternino.
Squeaky clean and well-equipped appartment, comfortable bed with quality linen, big bathroom with nice shower and soft and clean towels. Beautiful and silent surroundings. Owners are really friendly and easy to communicate with.
Cisternino is just a 30 minutes walk away, by car just a few minutes drive.
I can highly recommend Trulli Stett to travellers who appreciate nature and tranquility!
Beautiful Masseria with stylish swimming pool, surrounded by olive trees. Perfect location to discover La Valle d'Itria, and Puglia. We picked our own figs, grapes and tomatoes from the garden. The apartment was well equipped, with a great pod coffee machine and a useful washing machine. We had a great time with our two kids, and hope to come back someday.
The trulli are gorgeous, the house filled with everything you need, very spacious and cool despite the heat. We didn‘t have to use the air conditioning often. Also the Wifi was good. We could have a nice breakfast under the trees and use all the space outside, because we were the only guests. Cisternino is very close, a nice little town.
Our stay at Antica aia was fabulous. The facilities are spacious and the trullo room was unique and quite beautiful. Our hosts, Francesco and Elvira, were very pleasant and attentive to our needs.
The location was central to our day trips to Cisternino, Locorotondo, Ustuni, the Castellana Grotte and Martina Franca.
The location is excellent. On a hillside, close to many interesting spots in Puglia. And with an amazing view. Angelo and Barbara were always there to either offer the best cappuccino or suggest places to eat in the nearby towns. Pierluigi made sure everything was beyond expectations.
Casa Fortuna provided everything we needed - even complimentary coffee and homemade olive oil! Location is great and Lilliana was an exceptional host. We stayed three nights and our only regret was not spending enough time in Cisternino itself.
We had a wonderful holiday at MaisonMilleOttocento. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and made our stay so enjoyable. Cisternino was the perfect location from which to discover the Valle d'Itria.
Beautifully refurbished and well managed, Borgo Canonica was a great trullo experience. Our room had an impeccable garden. Despite the rain, it was so nice to stay in the area and this hotel. To add to it, the staff was very pleasant.
Great and helpful hosts, the trullo was super clean.
It is a few km outside of Cisternino and offers great privacy, in the trullo you are surrounded my olive trees and beautiful views. Will come back for sure.
Wonderful trullo,, perfectly equipped with everything you need
jacuzzi and sun bads
great welcome gift - fruit, olive oil, cookies
location close to many attractions of Puglia
Laura, grazie mille!
It was a very cozy studio in the heart of Cisternino. It was a lovely stay and the owner was very kind with us and even left breakfast when we thought it was not included, that was amazing.
The property is absolutely stunning and very close to the village of Cisternino. Beautiful grounds and an amazing pool. There are also lots of friendly animals on the grounds!
Location to Alberobello, Martina Franca, Cisternino, and Locorotondo was amazing. Grounds were nicely kept, pool was quiet, and the staff was very friendly!
