We had a nice breakfast, but I can imagine that some people would prefer a bigger variety of vegetables/ fruits. We personally did not mind many cookies and cakes served for breakfast and enjoyed it! The parking lot in front of the hotel is quite spacious, so we did not have a problem to find a spot. It is a pet friendly hotel and all the staff was kind even though we had some issues with Booking.

Garlate itself is a small town on the less busy leg of the lake. the hotel is a beautiful old villa with a large grounds and pool. the room was super comfortable and spacious. Barbara, Channa and the staff were unbelievably helpful, helped us to organise trips and even picking us up from Lecco when we couldn’t get a taxi!

Breakfast is buffet style, where you can chose between sweet or "salty" food, eggs are prepared by order. There is not plenty/excess of food, but a lot of choice.
