Hotel La Buca Del Gatto, hotel in Marina di Cecina

La Buca Del Gatto is a large 3-star resort located on the Tuscan coast of Cecina Mare. It is separated from the sea by 500 metres of rich pine woods. The rooms are spread over 5 independent villas.

The pool is huge and lovely. Lots of loungers and parasols. But you have to wear a swim cap! Dinner is €25 if you haven't booked it, it's a buffet though and you can eat as much as you like. Breakfast is the same, really good value. Short walk to the beach where you get a free parasol and lounger with the resort. Shallow water for kids Fun resort for a family

It was OK Hotel, good value for the money for One week stay and location is good if you want to spend all time at the beach. When arriving reception Asked for the payment for tourist tax. We payed and reception promised us the receipt morning after. When we asked for the receipt they Claimed we didnt pay and was very rude about it. We asked the reception to check their cameras because of their faulty accusment ( we paid in cash) . In the last they gave us the receipt But was still not convinced we payed. But unfortunately this experience was Very bad, so we wont Come back, when if the Hotel was OK in all Other aspects

Small resort which had a very upmarket feel. Great choice of bars and restaurants despite it being low season. Area was safe and there were some enjoyable walks locally. Clean beaches which were all free. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay.

The boardwalk along the beach was a great place for a morning run and people watching in the evening. Lots of restaurants but we learned quickly that it is necessary to make reservations in advance (even just a few hours) as it seems as it was absolutely needed to get a table (even when the restaurant didn't appear very busy). We especially enjoyed our meal at La Capannina on the beach just next to the nature reserve. Great beach town and the people were very friendly!

We got there accidentally, but wish we could stay for longer. Nice, sandy beaches, friendly people, great food, and the promenade at the sunset - great just to check it out if You can. Couldn't go biking to the Nature Park though. But if we ever get back there we will surely do that.

We booked an entire 1BR apartment in this new construction hotel. Very clean and modern. AC worked great. We liked having the balcony. Bed and sofa bed were very comfortable with firm mattresses. We never tried the restaurant on site, but enjoyed the swimming pool. The hotel is a walking distance from the rugged beach, otherwise not much life around there in September.

Great location almost on the seafront. Check-in, check- out and breakfast at the hotel across the street, simple Italian style breakfast with abbundance of cakes but not much choice if you don't eat sweet foods. Room was fine, comfortable bed and air-conditioning/heating.

Very cozy hotel, looks new. There is very good restaurant in the hotel. Its around 10-15 walk from the beach. Note that in high season its almost impossible to rent chaise longue/umbrella in the beach, but you can always stay at the "wild" part of the beach for free.

The staff was very friendly and made me feel extremely comfortable. Even though it took quite some time to walk to the city centre every day (37 minutes), the hotel was located right by the beach, which is great if you enjoy long beach walks.
