The location in Carru was good. There is free parking in the center of town. You have to ring a telephone number to arrange a time to check in. Breakfast was OK.

This is a tiny B&B (2 rooms), but at least one of those 'rooms' is really an enormous mini-apartment, with a huge bedroom, large bath, and a lovely living room. Everything is quite atmospheric, thoughtfully provisioned, and beautifully kept. Breakfast was a lavish buffet, that I made only the smallest of dents in—and the owner very graciously boxed up some of the bread, hams, and cheeses as a cestino (box lunch) for the road. Given the Auto Grill alternatives, this was an act of real kindness.

Nice place with an unique host. We only needed a bed for one night after a flight. We received much more that we expected. A good, private parking; lovely house; helping host; hand made breakfast - everything was way above our expectations.

With its rustic interiors including stone walls and wooden beams, Casa Baladin camere di Charme e Agronidi dell'Open Garden is in the small town of Piozzo, famous for its beer.

I had stayed here 8 years ago and wanted to come back. The hotel is owned by brewery Baladin, and was completely renovated by their founder, genius Teo Musso. The rooms are beautiful and each has their own decor. It's right across the street from their first brewery/bar, which is still working. Every Sunday Teo speaks about his journey and does a brewery tour of the new grounds down the street. Highly recommend it! Plus, this area is right next to Barolo, which has some of the best wines in Italy. Another nice town to visit nearby is Alba, which has a 3-star Michelin restaurant (Piazza Duomo) and a bistrot from the same owners, Piola.
