Marco and his team are amazing. Kind and generous, they go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Food is an outstanding feature here . Breakfast with yoghurt and fruits , eggs made your way and home made croissants so good ! The evening meal is like a fine dining experience. Service every where is great. The place itself is peaceful and calm and surrounded by nature. We went for a forest walk daily . Our four days were so enjoyable. We left feeling sad and miss our new friends!

It was extremely difficult to find the right entrance as there were no signs from the car park. We wandered around the courtyard and outside as there was no-one about. Eventually a lady appeared and showed us to our room but it seemed completely deserted otherwise. Clear signs are needed from the car park to reception which is on the opposite side of the building.
Later in the afternoon, more people appeared and there was to be a christening the next day so we were told there was no restaurant or food available that evening. So we had to drive back into Sambucca to get a meal. This was not notified to us before we arrived.

The breakfast was OK, but it was not extraordinary. In the evening special local diners were prepared, including typical Sicilian ingredients. The accommodation is in the countryside of Sicily and therefore we could enjoy the millions of stars at night, and also relatively close to the beaches 10-15 minutes drive.
