Fantastic location on the dock by the lagoon. Genuine fishing village, great restaurant on the dockside, fabulous breakfast and most importantly friendly and very welcoming staff. A short 5min walk from the hotel to the beach with a nice white sandy bottom
Get there by bike from Lido and a short ferry-crossing to Pellestrina. park your bikes just outside the hotel. We stayed only one night but would have liked to stay longer

Caldin's is a great hotel if you are on a budget which we are. If you want 5 Star Luxury then shell out and pay for it. This is a 1 Star hotel and it does the 1 Star thing really well.

There's not much to do there. It is closer to Chiogga so if you didn't want a long commute from Venice to Chiogga, then it would be a good idea to spend a night in Pellestrina. Also, a nice way to get away from the business of venice.
