The staff is really nice, helpful and always available ! Excellent. We will certainly go back there next time. There is no restaurant but there is a very welcoming one quite nearby.

The vibe of the hotel is amazing, as is the indoor pool & wellness (had a lovely massage), the bar, staff, piano in the lobby and at night in the bar are all super nice.
The Astoria is set on Stresa's lake-side promenade facing the Borromean Islands. It has a nice garden, and offers rooms with Wi-Fi access, satellite TV and panoramic views.

Excellent location in Stress, walking distance to the town center, and right on the boardwalk. The view from the room was exceptional, with a clear sight on the Borromean islands. The hotel itself is new, clean and very comfortable. The spa and rooftop pools are an added bonus, with the same amazing view. All we could have asked for was better weather.
The breakfast was plentiful, varied and very tasty.
The hotel restaurant was also very good, among the better dining experiences we had in the region.

Set on Baveno's lakeshore, Grand Hotel Dino offers panoramic views across Lake Maggiore. This large and elegant hotel features both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a wellness centre.

The hotel itself was great, location was very close to the train station also to the public boats to go to the islands.
The facilities inside are perfect for a short get-away. Pool has an amazing atmosphere of old roman styled baths and the rooms where a good size and very comfortable with great views.
Chiostro Hotel is a renovated monastery set in Intra, Verbania's old town, on the shores of Lake Maggiore. The hotel has peaceful gardens and its own gym. Wi-Fi is free.

Lake Maggiore is beautiful, lots of places to visit including Isola Bella, Madre and Pescatore, Cannobio, Santa Caterina, the funivia at Laveno, were either a short drive away or you could catch a ferry to get there easily.
But in Arolo there were restaurants and cafes within walking distance, some right on the lake without it being too touristy and busy- can recommend Kactus cafe 2.0!

We had a brilliant room on the top floor (there is a lift) with a balcony and fantastic views over the lake.
The Hotel itself is clean and its staff/owners very helpful and attentive. It was nice once we arrived to be able to leave the car and just relax. The hotel booked us a supper at a very pleasant local restuarant not 100 metres from it and we had a wonderful time.
