A beautiful hotel in the heart of the old town Udine - nice and cozy, excellent staff and facilities. Exceptionally clean, modern and welcoming. Pet-friendly, so our two small dogs were very welcome and the hotel did not charge an extra fee for them. They got water bowl, and everybody was very friendly. The hotel also has their own parking garage, so f a very reasonable extra fee you can leave your car in a secure place.

We were at an event nearby, so the location was perfect. The breakfast is standard continental, the rooms are reasonably modern and unremarkable. The staff were all lovely and helpful.

The best word to describe this hotel is potential. It has so much of it. Every aspect of the insides of the hotel itself is incredibly spacious. Rooms are large, the dining room is huge, its comfortable, staff is friendly, but it really lacks on beauty. Where the hotel shines in size, it stumbles in aesthetics. There is really no decor, it is mostly utilitarian, lacking the visual charm. Overall, the Standard Hotel is a promising property. With a touch of design flair, it could truly blossom. If you prioritize spacious comfort and friendly service over a picture-perfect environment, this hotel could be a great fit. Just be prepared for a place that focuses more on function than frills.
