Casa Mare, hotel in San Cataldo

Located in San Cataldo, just a few steps from San Cataldo Beach, Casa Mare provides beachfront accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi.

+ The location is really good! All restaurants, Bars and coffe shops in San Cataldo are probably in 100-300 meter walking distance. There is an ATM right next to the apartment. The beach is about 50 meters aways. It's probably the best location you can get in whole San Cataldo. + The bedroom is appealing. During the night and in the morning, the room is very dark, since you can close the door to the kitchen. So you can sleep long in the morning without getting disturbed from the sun. Also the bed is very clean, fresh white sheets, and fresh white towels for showering. So all in all, the bedroom is very good. - What was a bit disappointing is that the apartment wasn't cleaned properly. There were food crumbles on the table, the floor was sticky and the mirrors dirty. But the biggest issue was the bathroom. It is really not clean. The toilet looks like a public toilet on a train station, from inside and outside. In all corners of the bathroom is dirt. The toilet brush was brown and looked really old. Also the sink was broken at first. I texted the manger of the apartment and asked if the apartment can get cleaned and the sink fixed. She was really cooperative, friendly and apologized. The next morning the sink got rapaired and the apartment a little cleaned. To summarize it: The location is really good, you should definitely go to this apartment solely cause of the location. The manager of the apartment is friendly and cooperative. The bedroom is really good, you will sleep definitely well! The apartment could be a real treasure, if it once gets cleaned really really properly, especially the bathroom (clean the floor, the toilet, the mirrors, new toilet brush, the table). Tip to the ladies renting this apartment: Bring your own hair dryer.

Casa Assuntina, hotel in San Cataldo

Casa Assuntina offers accommodation with castle view in Acaya. The unit is 12 km from the centre of Lecce. Free WiFi is featured. San Cataldo is 9 km away.

Perfect location with easy nearby parking. Quirky place. There is a bicycle which I am not sure is for guest use. Nicely random, either way.

Near main Salento beaches and famous location (Lecce, Otranto, Gallipoli etc). Nice sea area. The village is poor and old, not really well served, but on the other hand quiet, without few tourist drawbacks (noise, traffic etc).

Lovely beaches near by. Locals very welcoming and friendly. Great local dishes, particularly seafood, served in restaurants with very reasonable prices. No real focal point or seaside shopping/restaurant area.

The breakfast was a highlight! Mariana makes most things herself and everyone sits around a shared table on her verandah. We had yogurt, fresh fruit, cakes, juice and a delicious omelette as well as coffee or tea. Mariana has a lovely, colourful garden and a beautiful pool - altogether a relaxing place to stay and an easy base to explore Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli.

It was very homely and comfortable. Max and his family made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to ensure we had a good holiday. The location was ideal for visiting Lecce and the beach and was also lovely for just relaxing by the pool as well. Couldn’t recommend more!
