Excellent choice of place to stay in Bova Marina. Rosanna and her husband are truly warm and helpful guests! They really care that you have a nice time there and you can sense that they do things with their heart: from the nicely decorated room to the lovely garden, full of roses and trees with birds singing to the handmade pastries and coffee served in the garden for breakfast! The apartment is comfortable with spacious bathroom. There is even a shared kitchen.
Moreover, Bova Marina is an excellent starting point to visit the Greek speaking villages of Calabria, located in the beautiful nature of the Aspromonte Mountains and preserving the unique Greko dialect and culture.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The people there, signora Lina and signor Andrea were so welcoming and open to help us in any way. The area is super calm. Is perfect for people who want to rest and enjoy the nature. Signora Lina prepared a breakfast for us with local products and we really liked the cappuccino with the special foam she made. Thank you!

The beach is close by on foot, but no light, be sure to be back before night comes.. Sunset was beautiful with the shadow of smoking Etna

San Pantaleone itself is not that much attractive, We chose to stay there for its close location to the Parco Nazionale dell Aspromonte and the sea. The places to visit are definitely close by, as Roghudi Vecchio, Bova and the national park of course. Please bear in mind when travelling to Roghudi Vecchio from San Pantaleone that the roads are in terrible state and it is highly recommended to have an SUV. We made it with a standard car but it was not a pleasant ride.
Roghudi Vecchio is a ghost town, completely abandoned after a big flooding in 1973. Therefore, it is good to plan a lunch/ dinner in Bova where you can find nice restaurants with delicious local food.
