Very tastefully furnished and great art on the walls, including paintings by the grandmother of the house, to whom the house owes its name.

Wonderful hosts provided a superb room, delicious varied breakfast, and salumi and wine was available in the evening.

A short drive to Greve and other small villages in Chianti but for intrepid hikers, there is a 20 min steep walk to town.

Perfect place if you want to get away, enjoy the countryside and the nice views. The rooms and larger than expected, clean and the bathroom is great. It was nice to have a terrace outside. It is a family owned hotel and the owners are friendly and very helpful.
The hotel has been superbly decorated and it right at the top of a hill which makes for incredible views!
