The villa was a wonderful place to stay!
The villa was a wonderful place to stay! The building was built in the 15th century but has all the modern amenities. Our host/owner Luca was so accommodating in every way. His staff prepared a delicious breakfast each morning with many varieties of local cuisine. He had even prepared a map and detailed itinerary for several day trips if we wanted to explore the surrounding towns and other sights. This hotel was an excellent find.

Volterra is a beautiful historic town and walking around the narrow streets feels like stepping back several centuries in time. Walking around the traffic free central area was a pleasure. We visited several historic buildings including the beautiful cathedral. Also some excellent museums with great collections and works of art. There are many lovely restaurants and cafes too which make Volterra well worth a visit.

This is a large 2 story villa with its own pool, table tennis table and fooseball table. The interiors are comfortably furnished. There are beautiful views of the country side and you can also see Volterra. Our hosts Paola and Alessandro were incredibly warm and made our stay there very special. They can provide breakfast and dinner. Paola is an excellent cook and made a memorable dinner for us. This is a beautiful property with wonderful hosts. We hope to return to Casa Al Povero.
the experience at Agrihotel Il Palagetto was amazing, the location is everything with breathtaking views and surrodings.
The staff was amazing always with a smile in their faces and very responsive to our needs.
In terms of price comparing with what they offer is the the best deal you will find in Tuscany.
MANDATORY STOP :) we pretend to come back next year and it will be agrihotel il palagetto again.
We had a fabulous night at this charming hotel run by lorella - the room was spotless with a very comfortable bed and great bathroom. We arrived before our check in time but they made our room ready and gave us a welcome coffee on arrival. We had a delicious dinner that evening. We highly recommend this as a great stop - the bus to and from volterra higher stops right outside the hotel - thank u
The staff were very helpful and friendly working hard to make our stay enjoyable. The rooftop garden and cafe were delightful as was the artwork and decor of the hotel. Breakfast was exceptional with homemade cakes and preserves plus a selection of savoury and sweet food. The location, in the heart of Volterra, is perfect for exploring this wonderful city.
We went to Volterra for a wedding. Several guests stayed at Albergo Etruria. The place is well maintained, comfortable and adorable. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. If we ever go back to Volterra we will definitely stay at Albergo Etruria again !!!
It’s very central yet a tad offsides the many action. We recommend the Hotel for Toskana beginners that can’t yet decide what kind of hotel (vineyard, b&b or pension-style) suits them best! The hotel was all of the above combined and felt very cosy and home-ly!
Nice place in hearth of Tuscany. Nice view to the landscape and Volterra. Accommodation is comfortable, clean and well equiped. Swimming pool with salt water is good for spending free time and relaxing. Host is very kind and everytime helps.

Beautiful small boutique hotel with an elevator near parking (closest?) in the heart of Volterra. Very clean, spacious rooms and bathrooms. VERY helpful concerning my ECV and mobility concerns. Excellent staff.
We absolutely loved the property. After a few weeks in loud cities, this was a gods send. The property is only a short drive from Volterra, and makes a perfect base of operations if you are exploring Tuscany.
The hotel clean, quiet, and had beautiful views. It also had a very nice breakfast. It was convenient to restaurants and within walking distance to the old city center. We loved our stay.
Hotel is well situated for the old centre of Volterra, has fabulous views over the valley below and has a large swimming pool and garden to relax in. Parking for motorcycles also a bonus.
