Exceptionally helpful and welcoming staff. Our bicycles were safely stored in the Bar. I think that couldn't happen if they were busy, but it was very accommodating of them. Our room was a bit small, but we knew that because it was one of the cheaper rooms. The location is right in the centre of Volterra with lots of places to eat nearby. The breakfast (€15 each) was outstanding with both savoury and sweet offers. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Well placed for seeing the medieval city. Characterful old convent. Friendly welcoming staff. The pool area was inviting but too chilly to use on this occasion. Good covered parking for extra charge.

The villa was a wonderful place to stay!
The villa was a wonderful place to stay! The building was built in the 15th century but has all the modern amenities. Our host/owner Luca was so accommodating in every way. His staff prepared a delicious breakfast each morning with many varieties of local cuisine. He had even prepared a map and detailed itinerary for several day trips if we wanted to explore the surrounding towns and other sights. This hotel was an excellent find.

not the most interesting of fortified hill top towns, but nice enough. Not an awful lot too see apart from the stunning views and the inevitable torture museum which we came across in three other locations

Volterra is a beautiful historic town and walking around the narrow streets feels like stepping back several centuries in time. Walking around the traffic free central area was a pleasure. We visited several historic buildings including the beautiful cathedral. Also some excellent museums with great collections and works of art. There are many lovely restaurants and cafes too which make Volterra well worth a visit.

Newly established house with comfortable appartments furnished with soul and taste. Standing on the hill, it offers magnificant scenic views over Tuscany landscape.
15 minutes by car brings you to the heart of magic Volterra city.
Excellent local breakfast is served in the morning at the terrace.
Last but not least, the house is run by very pleasant and friendly couple who have renovated the property almost by themselves.
The final impression includes Angelo, huge friendly dog who gave us warm welcome.
Set in magnificent countryside between Volterra and Colle Val d'Elsa, with proximity to San Gimignano, Il Boschetto is a perfect place to stay for an authentic Tuscan experience while enjoying peace and the songs of nightingales. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is in itself an excellent destination for the local cooking. The owners and staff are welcoming and attentive, and we fully intend to return. Thank you to Dario, Samantha, and Laura.
Visiting Volterra was a magical time-travelling experience and the home of the Morettis is the best possible place to stay. I said ‘home’, not B&B, because Albergo Etruria surely belongs to this cathegory: home from home, with the owners loving what they do, always happy to have you there, always smiling, ready to treat with homemade vegetable cake for breakfast (thanks, Paola, it was delicious!). Definitely the place you want to come back to!
Breakfast had delicious options, numerous baked choices, fruits, cakes, yogurts, jams, drinks... Service was great!! Ricardo is very attentive and friendly. Our room was a nice size with character, in a nice old mill with history in a small village close to Volterra! Small grocery close by, parking onsite, and Ricardo serves great food in his restaurant attached to the hotel, so all is very convenient.
Perfect location, perfect communication with the staff (especially concerning the parking), very lovely decorated rooms.
The breakfast was outstanding and the best we had in Italy so far.
At the day we left we were allowed to leave our luggage for free and use the washrooms before we started our way home.
We will definitively come back!
The breakfasts were lovely, complete with homemade cakes. Claudia is wonderful, kind, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. And her Mom is so sweet. The property is stunning with beautiful views a great wines. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. And it was a great base to discover Volterra and San Gimignano from.
Very welcoming and informative host, who truly cared.
Breakfast was exceptional, easily the best on our tour of Tuscany.
The hotel is very well located to explore much of Tuscany.
Room very comfortable with incredible attention to detail. Also very quiet which we appreciated.
Highly recommended.
From our room (room 8) we had a beautiful view on the tower of the monastery. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big and clean, the parking lot was free and the city center of Volterra is 20 min walking away. So it is a really good place to stay.
This agrihotel was a true gem in the countryside of Tuscany. It offered a 360 degree view and a very serene garden with pool. The restaurant within the hotel is fantastic and offers delicious fresh food made with locally grown produce.
Pros:
The hotel has parking and it's located at walking distance just at the bottom of the hill from one of Volterra's main gates.
The breakfast is exclusively vegan (good if you are vegan).
The rooms are spacious
Beautifully quaint hotel, located in the Volterra countryside. The staff extends themselves above and beyond...
And the rooms/facilities are impeccably clean.
Within walking distance of Volterra historic city.N
Fantastic host. Comfortable bed and accommodations. Volterra is a mountain top city so be prepared for stairs in city and this apartment. Quiet and plenty of room to relax and rest weary legs.
Beautiful location on outskirts of Volterra with stunning views. So quiet. Owners gave me some seasonal vegetables from their garden that were just delicious. Exceptionally nice spot.
We stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. The hotel is very charming and in a great location. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. A parking area is super close by too.
Beautiful location on a hill with view on Volterra. Very good swimming pool. Close to Volterra and San Gimignano. The staff was very friendly, it was hard to say goodbye
The host was amazing!! He gave amazing recommendations for restaurants, attractions, parking. Amazing hotel 10/10 will definitely refer people and come back myself!!
Location is Hotel's best feature. And the friendliness of the staff. Having a park (indoor one) for cars is a must have on that area, so really well played.
