The host was an extremely nice and lovely lady. The stay offered many possibilities to experience authentic japanese ryokan (outfits, bath, room, breakfast etc.) The bath was free and the view was amazing. You could reach the location relatively easily. The futon and air conditioning ensured that we were not cold even though it was late February. If in need of more options with shops or restaurants, the cable car nearby could take you easily and cheaply down to Ikoma town.

The atmosphere was very peaceful and the lounge was small but lovely! I loved the public bath and the bath cloth/shoes which the hotel nicely prepared for everyone.

Our visit to Ikoma was primarily for a family celebration for a High School graduation at Kansai Christian School and a family birthday, so really can't share much else in terms of places visited. Visited the Temple on Mt. Ikoma and did some limited shopping. Would recommend that. Ride the cable car to the top of the mountain to the temples/shrines and then further up to the amusement park - great views from the top.
