Japanese Hotel. Staff are friendly, especially the breakfast ladies. The breakfast was very good, with slight variations on the two days we were there. Our only complaint was our room was VERY dirty (to be fair, our travelling companion stayed in a separate room and it was clean). The carpet in our room was filthy - you didn't want to walk on it without shoes. Pleasantly surprised. I was worried this place might be a bit sketchy based on the pictures, but it's actually quite clean. My room was conveniently located right in front of the washers and dryers--which are a luxury in Japan--so I took advantage of that. The room is small but clean and adequately comfortable for solo travelers.
