The location was close to the train station and the Akita dog museum. I only stayed overnight so I missed the chance to see Akita dogs, which I was looking forward to. We arrived late but the warm reception with a complimentary ramen, which is only availble from 7-9 pm, was a delight. The hotel is old but well maintained. The toilet and bath was newly renovated and very clean. The bed was comfortable and conducive to a good night sleep.

The location is on the top of a mountain, so the views were amazing. It’s also quite isolated so once you are there there is not much to do unless you want to play golf or go skiing. You could walk on the golf course if the weather permits. The staff spoke very good English. The dinner was delicious.
