The breakfast was excellent, using local produce, it was as good anything I’ve experienced at hotels etc. The location is central to the island and the option of renting a bicycle means that you can explore the whole beautiful and tranquil island.

Incredibly nice personnel, Ayumi:). I enjoyed the evening, we had a nice conversation, grilled fish and went star gazing. I really felt like being in real countryside.I wish I can come back again.

The view and location of the hotel were out of this world. The staff was also very friendly and tried to help, even though they had some problems understanding English.

Very happy with my stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and nice and I had a small balcony. The breakfast for 500 yen is good. The building is nice and well maintained. You can walk easily from the ferry.

Located on Iriomote Island, guests can stay in a spacious cottage at La Teada. Ohara Port is a 10-minute drive away on the free shuttle bus. Paid hot spring bath is available onsite.

The English speaking owner was very friendly and helpful and being a native of Iriomote was very knowledgeable. Hoshitate is a tranquil location with a photogenic beach. There are some rock outcrops close to shore that are wonderful to snorkel and full of reef fish including a family of clown fish … yes I found Nemo! The Hoshitate steak was memorable. if you are there at the right time the owner will take you to see the fire flys.
