Loved the beautiful private beach, the staff and our lovely room which was one of the bungalows looking onto the main beach. The food was also excellent with a good choice of meals. The ladies at the spa are also lovely and offer very good massages. Great sundowner bar when the tide is high.

Beautiful interior design. Lovely air conditioned rooms. Loads of different spaces to relax. Fantastic help from Jay Jay who took us to local show, boat excursion and Bora Bora. We will be back! It is paradise.

We had a delightful stay at the Sonrisa. The villas are very convenient and furnished with great taste, the garden is marvelous and the staff is dedicated to make your stay as confortable as possible. The location is a bit far from the nearest shopping center but it’s ideal for a peaceful and relaxing time.

The rooms were renovated and upgraded, the food was amazing, now daily seafood at lunch time was added and sushi in the evenings. That is what we need at the beach. They have received the travel life certificate and use glass bottles in the rooms and don't replace towels if not needed. The staff as usual very welcoming and friendly.

We travelled on the night train to Mombasa and so got to South Coast early morning but Eunice, the manager , was kind enough to meet us at the property having prepared us a cup of tea, that was a pleasant and very welcome surprise. We were at Villa Dora which was spacious enough to comfortably host all eight of us. The staff were friendly, ensured we were comfortable and did a good job of keeping the house and grounds clean. The property also has a nice good sized swimming pool, which the kids and we enjoyed, and is also a nice little walk away from the beach. Eunice also recommended to us a great chef who made very nice meals for us. I must also say thank you to the owner, despite there being a miscalculation by booking.com meaning that we were to be charged a higher rate, he was kind enough to maintain the initial rate- so we were already off to a good start. Even from a distance, there was a personal touch as he reached out to check if we were comfortable- which was nice.
