They had very limited options for breakfast. Didn’t refill the tea/coffee sachets when we asked. Said they only provide tea/coffee for one cup. We were asked to pay and order tea if we wanted. It was absurd, even five star hotels refill the tea/coffee in rooms when we ask. It was a cheap move. At the morning breakfast, the milk rice didn’t have milk and the sambol was made with dedicated or used coconut. It was so dry and tasteless. There was no tea station or the waiters didn’t offer tea when the guests were having breakfast. So we didn’t know we could get tea at breakfast. They didn’t fill the sachets in rooms and didn’t offer tea at breakfast table, most of us had no way of having morning tea. It’s situated in a remote area so there are no restaurants or shops around. When we wanted to order bites the prices were too expensive. Given the quality of the hotel they could not charge 3650 for club sandwiches. If they had reasonable prices people would have ordered from them conveniently. But we went back to a town looking for a good place to get food because the hotel was trying to rob us in broad daylight. Sri Lankans are very hospitable people. This is the land of tea. The stingy things they do reflect badly on Sri Lanka because they portray a wrong image. Tourists wouldn’t want to come back to this kind of treatment.

The Staff of Ellankanda Villa made our stay so very pleasent. The food was excellent(!) and we always felt very cared about. Rooms are very clean and you can tell that there is a sense of detail, which give the place its charme. It is a quite place, but you can nicely explore the area by yourself (or in our case we were even gives a small tour by the Staff - thank you again!). Absolut recommendation if you want to spend some quite days in a great place.

What a peaceful villa, where the birds' singing matches the calm in our mind. Surrounded by nature, it feels like a cozy herbal retreat, with the comforting scent of Ceylon cinnamon. The colours are earthy, and the views are wide, giving us a sense of freshness. We were able to relax in the beautiful rooms, take walks in the gardens, and sleep well in the comfy bedroom. And just beyond, there was a tea plantations, adding to the serenity of our stay. Plus, We could see breath-taking mountain view and tranquil greenery views surrounded by paddy fields. I've never stayed in such a serene place in Sri Lanka before. Here, fresh air is always at our fingertips, inviting us to breathe deeply and unwind. Staff is very nice and food was amazing. When I'm writing my next book, I will stay here for a long time for sure.

Samir was wonderful from the very beginning. Accepted nvs ochkn warm! We booked two different rooms for our family. The rooms were beautiful, with a beautiful view of the flowing river. Without any shortcomings. The restaurant on the ground floor is clean and spacious. The furniture is very beautiful. The price is reasonable, the place is calm. They made the holiday extraordinary. Very nice Beach, good swimming and walking. Not many people arround. Room was nice and OK with all you need. AC and Fan very good and important. If Shower/Shampo/Hairdryer is needed ask for it. Breakfast is very, very good and you can eat as much as you like, also excellent service. Staff is fantastic and takes care of you all the time. The food (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) is just great and fantastic. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you. You can ask for Beachtowels, they will give them to you for free.
