It was a very nicely arranged place. Small chalets surrounded by tropical plants. Rooms were clean and tidy, with a bit of mustiness smell, but I guess it’s hard to avoid in high humidity. Hotel staff was very nice. I tried to get something vegan for breakfast but my attempts to explain this to the staff members failed (as in other places in Sri Lanka) so I ended up with a set breakfast menu. The pool area is also very nice. Overall this place has a very pleasant vibe.

Wonderful hosts, Pody and the boys were brilliant from the moment we arrived, helping with bags, bringing treat juices and helping us organise all our adventures! The pool is 10m from the apartment rooms and perfect for cooling off. Don't hesitate, this is the little of heaven that you need.

Our stay at Hotel ECHO was rather average. While there were a couple of things we liked, such as the hotel's location just a 3-minute walk from the Sigiriya rock entrance and the delicious dinner we had at the restaurant, the overall experience left much to be desired. The hotel itself is quite old and dirty, which was disappointing. While the room was of a good size, the bathroom was not up to standard and was also dirty. We had booked a twin room for myself and a friend, but upon arrival, we were given a king-size bed instead. This mix-up was further complicated by the fact that the person who checked us in did not speak English, making communication difficult and frustrating. Overall, while there were a couple of positives, our experience at Hotel ECHO was not great, and we won't be staying there again.

The host was so helpful about activities and best places to go! Recommended the BEST massage experience place in Sri Lanka so best you ask about it(20min drive from the stay but worth it!) The bedroom was spacious,clean and super comfortable with a kettle and fridge which is a great win on a trip! The AC worked like a dream. Breakfast included was big and set us up for the day! The location is fantastic as you could literally walk 50m and you were at all the restaurants in the little town!
