Incredible location with amazing views. The deluxe cabana rooms are huge and you feel very immersed in the forest, even if you don't get the views from the room.
Staff are lovely and couldn't do enough. Good drinks menu in the bar, was very quiet during our stay. We were there for 2 nights and used it as a place to visit Sigirya from for a day trip before heading south.

We had a great stay at Eco Village Kalundewa. It is located on a farm, which we liked a lot. The appartment itself was super pretty, clean and there were mosquito nets. The host served delicious breakfast, it was outstanding.

This boutique guest house is fantastic, located in front of the Samabe lake. This is such a peaceful, relaxing and quiet environment. A real paradise for all nature lovers - located just a few minutes away from Dambulla center. For now, there are only 2 cottages in the property. So basically the stay is very private (no noise around). The cottage size is very good with a terrace from where you can enjoy the view of the lake. The personnel is very friendly - and insisted to invite me for a lovely boat tour on the lake for free. Surprisingly there was no mosquito in the cottage whereas we could think that there might be due to the proximity of the lake. The WiFi was working very fine. All was perfect. From this place, i did visit Dambulla (e.g Golden temple) and its surroundings- up to Habarana for a half a day safari (mainly elephants spotted) in the national park of Minneriya/Eco lodge. Spent 2 wonderful nights …and wish I would have more time to stay more !

We planned to stay one night, but ended up staying three night, because we liked the place so much! The family who runs this place is super lovely, friendly, extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and you definitely won't be hungry afterwards. :)
The family also helped us renting a scooter. To have a scooter is quite useful, because the accomodation is a bit outside of the center. However, the dambulla cave temple is in walking distance.
The room was clean, beds are very comfortable and the terrace is nice for sitting outside in the morning or evening and enjoying a coffee or a beer.
We definitely recommend this place and hopefully come back one day!
