The rooms are great hearing the sound of the waterfall, Manisha makes the best food. Great overall experience. By far the most well run place we stayed. Facilities room all worked well, were clean and looked after. Being able to have food on balcony is a great touch. Good selection of items on A la carte menu and well priced considering location and captive audience. Good few vegan options. They also let me bake a cake for my daughters birthday in their kitchen which was very much appreciated.

Athgira River Camp is located at the door step of Udawalawe National Park with views of Rakwana River. It’s very close to Udawalawe reservoir and to the Elephant Orphanage.

This hotel was well run and a very cool glamping experience. Customer service was excellent. We were very hungry one night after a day at the safari and the manager had the buffet set up a little earlier for us which we really appreciated. The staff made is very simple to organise trips and taxis.

So close to the national park, which made spending the day there really easy. Everyone who works there is so lovely and the pool area is the perfect spot to cool down, read a book and drink a cocktail! The location of Dolagawa is magical. There is a river and a small waterfall where you can swim right next to the resort. We went to the Sinharaja Forest and the host arranged a 3-4 hour tour for us which was really nice. The food was good and the staff was welcoming, helpful and super friendly!
