The camp is big and it was an overall great experience. Tent was large, with clean sheets and hot water. Nice design.
There are peacocks, rabits and landmonitors around, and we heard and saw many birds. No mosquitos 🤷🏼♀️.At night we used flashlights to get around.
Food was really good, dinner was soup + barbeque (pork and chicken) and for breakfast we had eggs, local food, fruits.
The camp is very close -20 min to the Park entrance
The safari was also a great experience, we had Mr Solomon with us, he shared a lot of interesting things, he gave binoculars and had a book with birds.
Staff very friendly and helpfull.

This is the best accommodation we had in Sr Lanka. It is all brand new, clean and modern. The views from the balcony at the back was over fields of sugar cane where you can hear lots of birds including the peacocks.
As it is situated next to the National Park, sometimes elephants can be spotted just across the road.
There is a great menu and the restaurant is nicely cooled to enjoy your meal and drinks.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The manager, Hiran was so helpful and even arranged a tuk tuk for us to go the the nearest ATM.

You often read: "This was the best stay of our Sri Lanka trip". This hotel totally deserves this description. The facilities and interior were great, the cleaniless was vey good. The location was quiet and as close as needed to the national park.
Now coming to the standout arguments for this hotel: The service & hospitality. We have been lucky to stay in quite some magnificient hotels in our lifes. Yet this place stood out and had the best service we ever experienced. Janik and his family are naturally talented hosts but are further also incredibly caring and warm, while having an eye for details. Janik drove us to the bus station, despite his packed day or even proactively asked if we had laundry, as he noticed our bags. Further the offered tour from him around the village was an unexpected highlight of our Sri Lankan trip and also the booked Safari was superb and had an amazing ratio of price vs. value.
Ultimately we also want to highlight the culinaric features. The Sri Lankan food by the mother of the family was exceptional. No Sri Lankan Rice & Curry came close to it (and we ate it at multiple top-rated restaurants throughout our trip to Sri Lanka).
In every detail of our stay, we could wittness that providing best as possible experience for their guests is the top priority of the family. Anything else than 10/10 would be an understatement.

Lovely little property near the national park. The owners were so kind and attentive, they were happy to sort out anything we needed. Large and varied breakfast, and happy to bring out more if you’re still hungry! Would recommend for a night if you’re doing a safari!

Location was fantastic. By the river. Prashan took us out in the canoe through the lotus fields. Magical sunset. We took a walk through the cane fields at night and learnt so much of the native surroundings. Food was amazing. Staff exceptional. Highly recommend the experience
