Either the hotel has meanwhile improved or others were just unlucky, but we didn’t experience any of the negative aspects mentioned in the comments. We had a brand new refurbished and very clean room with touch screens, air-con was working perfectly. The pool is very clean, we spent several hours in there. Breakfast buffet has a large choice (both western and Sri Lanka) with great quality. We also went for the diner buffet, wich also offered excellent food at a reasonable price (6000 rupies for two persons except drinks). The hotel lies in walking distance from the train station on a main road, but our room headed to the inner court with the swimming pool and we could not hear any traffic. I can’t say anything about the TV program as I’m not staying in hotels to watch TV.

Everything was perfect with this property except the wifi. If you wanted to use wifi you had to go down to the lobby to use it. Other than that I enjoyed my stay at seasons.

Really nice family they looked after us with a big serving of noodles and roti as there is no restaurants near by, nice spot to visit the ancient ruins and have a small walk around the area to see how locals live. Outdoor shower is cool

I liked the staff. They were very friendly.
The location is kinda close to the things there is to see. I walked to all the places and the railway station.
